About this deal

A player can only pot and cover the Queen if at least one of their Carrom men has been already potted. If the Queen is potted before being allowed to, the Queen is replaced at the centre of the board when the turn ends. Potting the Queen and one of their Carrom men simultaneously counts as a player covering the Queen and points are awarded. If a player pots the Queen but is unable to cover it, the Queen is replaced to the centre circle by the opponent.

While taking a stroke, the Striker must touch both the Base Lines. If the stroke is made from the Base Circle, the Striker must cover the Base Circle fully, but should not touch the arrow. A match is usually played to 29 points and for matchplay, if the winner's score has reached has 24 or more points, then 5 bonus points are NOT added for covering the Queen. If a player sinks their last piece before the queen, they lose the board, three points and one point for each of their opponent's pieces left. [19] The winner of a board collects one point for each of the opponent's carrom men left at the finish and three points for the queen if covered by the winner (if covered by the loser, no-one gets those points). No more points are collected for the queen after your score reaches 21. One of the oldest and most popular striking techniques is this one. The middle finger needs to be behind the thumb to execute this style. Once a little pressure has been produced, release the middle finger. To push the Carrom men into the pot, you must use the middle finger to forcefully release the striker. By adjusting the direction of their hands in response to where the Carrom men are, players must create a variety of angles. Countries like France, Germany, UK, Greece, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, etc. have also formed their carrom federations.
