One may question whether something like this is really necessary, but most new moms are pretty tired, possibly frazzled and those who are nursing may be dehydrated and not keen on making their dry mouth worse.

I love that it’s so easy to use, that it comes with a case and the amazing fact that you can play white noise that ONLY your baby can hear and that will not get drowned by other noises. Perfect for settling your baby in a noisy and busy environment. I tried using the grohush during his first week at home and he didn’t respond to it, now he is a couple of weeks older it seems to be taking affect in calming him and we will continue to use it for as long as it will soothe him. It would seem that white noise is something T responds to at the moment, not all babies will respond to this type of calming device but for those that do it’s a fantastic product. Your baby will start to recognise the cues that it's time to sleep and making them feel secure and comfortable as possible will help the process, too. It helped calm and soothe my tired grumpy baby. He loved the different soothing noises and it was very easy to use. It's been really useful as my little one is teething and gets upset when he's too tired.

I didn’t even need to read the instructions to see how it worked. There are a choice of three sounds, white noise, heartbeat and rain on a tin roof. Once the button is pressed the relevant button is illuminated by a gentle white light and the sounds begins playing, once pressed the sound then continues for 10 minutes before stopping and the unit turns off.

That will have to wait though until baby comes, so for now, I’m testing out the features and looking forward to using it in the spring. Enter the white noise. It saved me. Several times. In my opinion, white noise is my magic solution for a calm baby. I brought white noise with me everywhere I went. I often used my phone and a white noise teddy bear to help. The Gro-hush comes with a sturdy and protective travel case to keep it clean and protected when out and about and when not in use at home. The Gro-hush is quite small (it only weighs 107 grams with batteries) and will easily fit in a changing bag or handbag. It has a washable cushion cover made from super soft jersey cotton.It would have been great to have come with batteries. I had to find a screwdriver and batteries before I could use it. That's the only thing I could think of to improve this lovely soother.
