I could guess what would happen after when someone did something and a new evidence just revealed itself and chaged the conclusion in your head. Coben narrated his story by following the step 1 2 3 4 5, not like his previous books, Tell No One - I was very excited all the time reading that book, and it's very much different for this one. Okay, the writing was nothing spectacular; there were even times when I winced as he described something by using the item. Example: The great oak stood like a, well, great oak. Yes, this type of writing appears more frequently than I liked, but the writing is really not an issue with this type of book. I say this type of book, not this type of genre (or other genres for that matter.)

This was hard to put down as the pace never lets up. Every time I thought David might be relatively safe to catch a break, something would happen to mess that up. There are the typical twisty moments but there’s more about David’s commitment to find and rescue his son that captured my heart and soul. His transformation from a man without a will to live to someone with everything to live for was inspiring. Just bring your seat belt because this isn’t an easy ride. The plot just seemed overly convoluted – all at the expense of character depth. (Not that I mind convoluted plots in thrillers. There was a lot going on in Jo Nesbo's The Snowman, but I remember it and the characters a lot more vividly, even though I read it a year ago.)I won't spoil this for anyone who has not read it, but let me just say, that I devoured this book and loved every second of it. I don't recall having read a Myron Bolitar book where Win's point of view was in the first person, but I really enjoyed it and felt liked I was getting to know him more intimately. I Will Find You is a stand-alone story, although there is an appearance by an old favourite and a nod to another. In no way though so you need to read any other books to understand this one. This is the story of David, a man who has bene in prison for the last 5 years for the murder of his 3-year-old son, Matthew. He has always said that he was innocent, but guilty of not protecting him. Now, a photo has come to his attention, and it shows a boy that looks exactly like his son. And there the wild ride begins. It's sad to realise I don't have many books left unread by Harlan Coben, I have a couple on my shelf that fit into this category.
