Smells like bandaids and whale vomit. Dry's down to that pasty layer of scunch from the bottom of a downtown dumpster.

The extrait has better longevity. The ambergris note in the dry down is stronger in the extrait. I’m not a big fan of ambergris. So both will be a pass for me. But after I used soap and water to wash them off, I could still smell both of them on my arms. I then washed my wrists for the second time and sprayed another different perfume on my wrists. Even after the new perfume completed faded, I could still smell 540, especially the extrait. It’s crazily strong. The EDP was also noticeable, but not as strong as the extrait. I tried and couldn't stop smelling myself, my boyfriend was so obsessed by the smell that he insisted of trying it himself as well. I know it has a similar scent profile to many perfume but none of them are real dupes in my opinion. It really does have an addicting power.BR540 Extrait is beautiful. In no way, shape or form am I calling it cheap by likening it to Cloud. I'm more so saying that Cloud was well executed. I won't go into details about what BR540 Extrait smells like, as many people have done a superb job of that already, but it is indeed a work of art. You may or may not like it, but both BR540 Eau de Parfum and BR540 Eau de Parfum Extrait were groundbreaking when they first came out. And I heavily dislike the Eau de Parfum, the latex/dentist smell overpowers it completely but the perfect harmony was found the Extrait. But I still recognise the impact they've had on the fragrance world and I respect the work behind them. Very impressive performance, but that’s really with any MFK I’ve tried. This is easily my favorite scent from the house as of now, I still need to try some of the other heavy hitters though. Deep into the dry down (6-8hrs) both EDP and extrait leave the same impression on the skin and project the same the longevity is impeccable on this one. i would sure hope so for the cost lol. the fact that this is an extrait shows. its much more oily than the EDP. it lasts soooo long on your body and *especially* clothes! sometimes even after i wash my clothes i can still smell a hint of this DNA.

I own both the original and the extrait. Before I got these I owned all of their clones. I must sadly say that I´m a bit dissapointed by both. Maybe I´m a bit anosmic to them. I smell them when I apply and then get whiffs thoughout all the day and night. I think the original is close to Cloud and extrait is closer to Manceras Instant crush. Both instant crush and cloud has an eternal longevity and beast mode silage on me. Baccarat is more subtle and quiet. More refined and exclusive…and way more expensive. Maybe the hype and therefore my expectations were way up in the sky. I´m happy I finally got the real deal…but I´ll spend my money on cloud and Instant crush for future references. I´ll enjoy every drop in the bottles as long as they last. It can be considered a masterpiece for having one of the best amber, saffron and ambergris notes I have ever experienced.
