The story is crap, all of the points you mention make this so flimsy, and introduces the concept of "good" orcs, which as a Tolkien nerd (and by consequence most fantasy of the time the original HQ came out) makes this a massive circus act. And what better way to try out these heroes than with adventures for them to experience? This box contains an incredible THREE original quest books to discover: Imogen tells Tabby about the exchange as she thinks it could be Rose Waters, who returned to Millwood after her release from Radley Sanitarium. They have to find the Waters House. If Rose is there, she'll have the answers they're looking for. Sidney eavesdrops on their conversation from the hallway. Imogen was born to a single mother Davie Adams and Sawyer Adams in Millwood, Pennsylvania. The two were inseparable and closer to each other than anyone. They moved into their house when Imogen was a young girl. As she grew up, she befriended the Beasley twins, the charismatic Karen and audacious Kelly. Together, the trio partied and hung out becoming the "It" girls of Millwood, getting into mischief in spite of Davie's protests. Saying that Karen was a mean girl and a bad influence. Faran abandons looking for Karen to dance with Henry and Mouse also jumps ship and goes outside with Ash (Jordan Gonzalez). Mouse opens up about why she goes by Mouse and touches on her childhood trauma but doesn’t go into detail because it’s too tragic for the night. The heroes are told that the mixture of elemental magic and chaos magic should not be possible... whomever wrote this Quest book was not familiar with the fire mage in the original game system. Fire counts as an element, right? Even tempest and sleep spells are used by chaos sorcerers. This error went by unnoticed. Tabby Haworthe - (" Tabogen") Tabby and Imogen have the strongest bond compared to the other Little Liars. They have known each other longer, having been pushed together after Davie's death, when Imogen moved into the Haworthe House. The two girls became very close, with Tabby serving as a much-needed support system for Imogen. As their relationship grows closer, they begin to confide in one another about their struggles - Imogen in her search for the truth about her mom, and Tabby with her struggles in film class. Tabby helps Imogen whenever she can. The girls become so closer that Tabby opens up about her harrowing sexual assault the night of a bonfire party, with Imogen being the first person she tells. Imogen also admits that she was sexually assaulted, though it takes her longer to tell Tabby the details. They support, comfort, and hold one another when they need it, and protect each other. Chip finds Tabby and agrees to help look for Karen, while Noa and Shawn find a classroom to make out in. As the bard hero, unveil a disturbance amongst the spirits and find the Spirit Queen to end Zargon's evil plot! Late that night, Imogen struggles to soothe the wailing baby. Sidney takes her and the baby soothes, as the baby needed to be burped. She knows it isn't the best time to ask, but wonders if she's planning on keeping her baby. Imogen isn't sure. Sidney laments that Imogen is sixteen and has so much ahead of her. She wants her to understand her options. Imogen tearfully listens, with adoption having crossed her mind when Nurse Simmons mention it to her. Sidney offers to make her an appointment with an agency. Imogen tearfully agrees to go. I was thinking about skipping this one too, mainly because I'm not fond of the storyline and find it inconsistent with Hero Quest lore.
Noa, Imogen, Mouse, and Tabby eat lunch together when Faran joins them. Tabby compliments her new look, and Noa chimes in with likening her look to fire emojis. Faran's trying something new. For the first time in her life, she's giving herself permission to let down her hair and go natural. New project, new look. Imogen thinks it's working, and gives her major props for starting an independent study on top of everything else they're dealing with. She's excited to be a choreographer for a change, as they shape the story. This is her interpretation of the Adam and Eve story. Tabby's version of "Psycho" inspired her to talk to Giry about creating a dance piece. Tabby loves that and the girls wiggle their fingers, having a love fest. Mouse "hearts" them. The sound of boys cat calling distracts her, so she looks over her shoulder. The Little Liars watch as Kelly saunters into the cafeteria looking exceptionally like Karen. She sits on Greg's leg as Faran groans over this shit happening again. There are also numerous errors in the quest maps themselves, such as areas that should be shaded or not and missing wall tiles. Some treasure chests are trapped but not highlighted, there's even one Quest note in Flooded Catacombs about treasure chest D that says there's a magical trap on it, but it does not specify what this magical trap does. On Tuesday, Imogen interrupts a tense breakfast between Tabby and her mother, announcing she’s giving her Tyler’s cellphone with the only copy. Sidney silently stands up to cleans dishes, prompting the girls to look at each other. At school, Minnie races towards her friend with a newspaper clutched in hand. “BULLIED TO DEATH” reads the headline, with the author hoping an immediate expulsion to the bullies who drove the innocent Karen to suicide, much to the Little Liars’ dread. The girls walk into their room and are mesmerized by it. They drop their bags and squeal happily. Tabby belly flops onto the bed, proclaiming it feels like a marshmallow. They praise the chocolate covered strawberries. Tabby opens a closet to find plush robes. They lay in the bed in robes, their hair in towels, and a purple face mask on, while enjoying the delectable chocolates. They lounge in bed as Tabby asks what she wants to do tonight. Imogen knows it's lame, but she wants to stay in as she hasn't been this comfortable in seven months. Tabby understands, though Imogen tells her that if she wants, she should go out for a night on the town. Tabby doesn't know about a night on the town, but does want to go find a movie theater or book store. Imogen encourages her to go.It’s time to announce the Spirit Queen! Imogen walks up onto the stage, just giving full Carrie vibes. They handle this reference really well, but rather than straight up carrying it out letter-for-letter we get a monkey wrench thrown into the plan. As Karen is in the rafters ready to drop the pail of paint on Imogen, we see a second person up there with her. The four girls try pointing out to Imogen that Karen is up in the rafters, but she doesn’t notice…until instead of a pail of paint falling, it’s Karen’s body pushed by A. In a shot mirroring the shot of Davie’s feet and a pool of blood, we see Imogen’s shoes as the pool of Karen’s blood slowly expands towards her feet. Final thoughts Emily Fields' book counterpart also had a teenage pregnancy introduced in the novels that was not translated to the television adaption. Imogen reveals she plans to find Karen at the dance and apologize to her. She also wants to give her the Spirit Queen crown. They arrive at the dance and fan out to find Karen. Imogen finds Kelly, who she mistakes for Karen. Kelly admits her twin is around. Imogen wants to make things right, so Kelly agrees to relay her message. She congratulates Imogen for winning against her sister as not many people can do that. She can't wait to see her up on the stage tonight. Eventually, the girls give up on finding Karen, so the rest of The Little Liars decide to enjoy the evening with their crushes. Imogen stands off by herself and Tabby tells Chip it's a Perks alert. He doesn't mind and tells her to go. The girls walk over to Imogen and Tabby extends her hand first, inviting her to have the dance. She accepts and Tabby leads her to the dance floor, twirling her around. The group dances happily as their boy's watch, later joining them. Saturday, the night of the Spirit Week Dance, The Little Liars show up at Imogen's bedroom door with supplies. The group gets ready together by dancing, doing their makeup, and hair, and getting dressed. They talk about their favorite dance movies, with Minnie bringing up West Side Story. Noa always wanted to be Maria so she could jump Tony's bones. The girls laugh before Imogen admits she's going to find Karen that night and apologize. She's going to give Karen her crown or at least try to. The girls agree to help her.
