Because of their varied species, bats come in many different sizes. To demonstrate, the smallest bat is the Kitti’s hog-nosed bat aka the bumblebee bat, which weighs about the same as a penny. Meanwhile, the largest bat species is called the flying fox (fruit bat), and they have a wingspan of 6 feet!
