About this deal

Although there are many sad aspects of this book (and some very sensitive ones, which North writes about with aplomb), ultimately this is a book of hope. Dougie and Nell find out who they really are once they face some hard things about their pasts. They make peace with their traumas and resolve to keep moving forward. Ultimately, isn't this what most people want? Celebrity bodyguard who worked for Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid reveals the biggest safety mistakes YOU are making - and the hidden dangers you face every day without realizing An initially written book by Freya North is entitled ‘Chances’. It was released in 2011 by the Harper publishers. In this book, Freya has described a poignant, wise, and sparkling tale of marriage, love, and friendship. Typically, the story shows the love triangle that people end up getting involved in, accidentally. At the start of the story, it is depicted that Vita and Tim’s relationship come to end after which they decide to move on in life. But, Vita is now able to get over the fact that Tim has already found another girlfriend. Soon, she meets Oliver and thinks of him as the perfect man. But, Oliver struggles to get over with the sweet memories of his dead wife. So, Vita wonders whether she will find any place in Oliver’s heart or not. In the meantime, Tim struggles with his feelings for 2 women at the same time. He is unable to forget Vita and also wishes to keep his new lady. The events enable Vita to realize that people come into someone’s life for a specific reason and when things don’t workout, second chances come up in the times of least expectation. I liked the MCs and the storyline. It was interesting and the characters felt real, unlike many recent CRs where the same cheesy, vulgar characters seem to keep on popping up. I don't want to say much about the story itself - IMO it's better to go in blind and let the story unfold.

Tender and touching. Between work and pounding a treadmill at the gym, he rarely has time to return his dad’s phone calls. Dougie’s dad, Gordon, is from Harris, so you know that’s where our lost and bewildered characters will venture next. Madonna keeps her health up with Barcelona bike ride... ONE WEEK after revealing she felt UNWELL onstage following health crisis In Little Wing, Freya North gives us three unforgettable characters across two timelines: pregnant schoolgirl Florence, who is banished in 1969 to one of the farthest outposts of Scotland to deliver her baby; lonely, untethered Nell, who divides her time between care in the community and visiting her mentally impaired mother; and photographer Dougie, a man estranged from his roots and troubled by a painful past. I can't remember the last time I read a book in one sitting or sobbed so hard at the end but Little Wing is a really special novel - if it doesn't get you right in all the feels then you're not human' RED

I really enjoyed Little Wing, named for one of Florence’s favourite Jimi Hendrix’s songs; it’s a light read but full of feeling. You can’t help warming towards the characters: brave and idealistic young Florence, kind-hearted but also kind of fun Nell and Dougie with his quiet sensitivity and Heathcliffe hair. But the true hero of the story is the island of Harris itself with its history, traditions, wild open spaces, birdlife and weather. Not to mention the friendly islanders. You’ll be trawling the Internet for pictures like I did and dreaming about booking a holiday. All across the USA, people are showing up dead. The deaths don't appear to be connected in any way until one particular death occurs and gets the Secretary of Defense's attention. He arranges for a task force to investigate. Little Wing is a book that I know I will return to again, and one that I will recommend for a long time to come. Christine McGuiness puts on a leggy display in a purple gown with a thigh high split as she attends The Disability Sports Awards in Leeds Oh my gosh - what a blindsider of a read! Emotional, poignant, tender, and with descriptive prose to die for, this hit me with all the feels. I expected light and fluffy and got instead the most affecting, absorbing story of identity, belonging and second chances. And the clincher: the ruggedly beautiful setting of the Outer Hebrides. I drowned in it and savored every word.
