Often it was something related to the episode, on other occasions it could be an in-joke to do with one of the crew. There are a few things to consider when choosing one for your child to make sure they’ll get a lot of use out of it. This drawing area is surrounded by a wide, brightly colored frame that has rounded edges and corners. If you're a 90s kid or had children or grandchildren in the 90s in the UK, you'll probably remember some if not all of these vintage toys and games, and some might even still be lurking in your loft.

Besides an attached pen and two stamps, there's a handle and eight stencils, but the coolest part is that the gadget doubles as a battery-operated mini computer (two AA demo batteries are included, but you'll eventually need to replace them). The board has etched numbers on top to remind them of academics while still pursuing their crafty nature. They don't sink back into the liquid because of the thickness of the liquid, and because the particles and liquid are matched to have the same density.When you drag the magnetic tip of the stylus across the outer section of the plastic screen the magnetic particles are pulled to the top of the liquid and can be seen through the outer plastic. I'm a fan of this travel-sized drawing toy, as it easily fits in my purse and keeps my young grandson entertained during important events. Using a handful of idea cards that come with it (or their own imagination), your little one can take the standalone pen to pull the hundreds of metal beads to the surface to create images and then erase them by pushing the beads back down with their fingers.

It has multiple learning modes, helping my child learn to spell their name and even draw shapes, all while keeping them entertained during car rides.In addition, it boasts four-color drawing zones, an attached pen, and three magnetic stamps (with holders along the side). The Magna Doodle board and magic pen are excellent for practicing hand-eye-coordination and aiding with fine motor skills while still bringing lots of play patterns. There have been copious variations of the Magna Doodle over the years: many used different colours and magnetic shapes, there were tie-ins with famous characters such as Mickey Mouse, Hello Kitty and Disney, plus a colour version and even a Magna Doodle PC game. The liquid is formulated so that the floating particles can be pulled through it in response to the magnetic forces, but not due to gravity.

The key element of the toy is the magnetophoretic display panel, filled with a thick, opaque white liquid containing tiny dark magnetic particles. One downside to consider, however, per a handful of users, is that the metal pieces can make the board a little on the noisy side. Helpful review:"It's sturdy, allows for imaginative play, and is way more engaging than just paper and pencil, crayons, or even magna-doodle type toys. If you look closer at each cell, you will see that the magnetic eraser has aligned the particles to one side! Because the particles are light and the liquid dispersion medium is thick, gravity will not pull the particles forming the lines back to the other side.

The attached pen and multiple colors add to the appeal, although the clearing slider could use some improvement as it doesn't fully erase the previous drawing. The pad will be ready to go as soon as it's delivered to you as a battery is already installed (giving you up to six months of battery life; no recharging required).
