Horror icon Bruce Campbell is back for the ultimate instalment of Ash vs Evil Dead, a bloody, violent, yet fun horror comedy adventure that continues the legacy of Sam Raimi’s beloved franchise.

Whatever the case may be, this is a must-own for any enthusiast of horror cinema, and it is highly recommended for neophytes spending the weekend alone in the woods. No longer constrained by a film’s run-time, Ash vs Evil Dead gives fans hours of gloriously gory action, as well as an unprecedented look at the battle-worn man who once defeated the Army of Darkness. For this Blu-ray edition, Anchor Bay debuts the favorite 80s horror flick with a wealth of supplements on a separate DVD disc. This release has the matted widescreen version only, which does suffer from the contrast problem as detailed above, but plays as the original version without any editing tweaks. The gore is top tier and over the top to an extreme the series has never seen before, andi is not hesitant in the least to show insane violence with children.

This classic dark fantasy horror comedy is the third installment in the Evil Dead film series, directed by the great Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Drag Me To Hell). There was nothing like getting your hands on a banned video or, better yet, the fully uncut version of a film from abroad.

It's a movie that just continues to get better and better with age, thus providing us with an undying experience that no other horror film can equal. It does seem as though they had a specific agenda to go through with this one, rather than just a glorious free-for-all. Our mission at AV NIRVANA is to pursue audio and video systems that deliver extraordinary satisfaction, allowing one to transcend the ordinary while becoming completely and blissfully engaged by music and movies.
