About this deal

The S12 Pros paired beautifully with my Xduoo MT300, hybrid tube amp. On my Littlebear B4X, the treble was incredibly good and the mids forward, but the definition on the bass suffered a little, it was nontheless a pleasant sound but, what you need to remember is that getting the right pairing for you is what is important. This set is sent in exchange for an honest review. There is no material or financial incentive for me to do this review and I guarantee no exchange has been done by both parties to influence or sway our opinions on this product. The lower treble range of the original S12 sounds a tad more brightness and dynamism, compared to the S12 Pro version, which is a bit softer and forgiving in this area. Both are pretty equal in terms of upper treble extension and resolution, while the S12 Pro has the slightly edge in terms of authority when I listen to soprano voices or to instruments such like ride or crash cymbals. There is plenty of harmonic wealth and realism, the timbre is natural and colorful with great chromatic variety, you can hear the uniqueness of every singer's voice and single instrument. Both have good space to operate, and neither are congested or veiled. These are two awesome options in the world of audio at this price point.

Shuoer S12 is a very energetic IEM with fun V-shaped tuning, that has a lot of balance issues. It is an exceptionally engaging and detailed pair of earphones if you're mostly going to listen to electronic instruments, however it is really garbage in acoustic music, so consider your needs carefully, versatility isn't a strong side of the S12. The LetShuoer S12 Pro is a relative easy to drive Planar Driver IEM thanks to its impedance of 16Ω and a sensitivity of approx. 102dB/mW. Sources such like USB DAC/Amplifiers (Shanling UP04 2022), Tablet’s (iPad Air 2) or ultra portable DAP’s (Hidizs AP80 Pro-X Red Copper Edition) do work just fine. The provided cable is manufactured from silver-plated mono-crystalline copper, incorporating a 4 x 98-strand braid. The cable is pretty well-weaved, and is tangle-free with a chin cinch. Microphonics are unfortunately present.

The S12 PRO is the company’s 6th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of the original S12 that was a big success and made LETSHUOER wider known to the audiophile world. The bass of the S12 Pro sounds just a tad fuller and especially in the midbass area. Both are pretty identical in terms of speed, layering and resolution. Instruments such like bass guitar, drums and cellos have a bit more weight and warmth compared to the original S12. However, timbral accuracy is more natural on the Zetian Wu, and the Zetian Wu have a lighter shell and are more comfortable. Where to Buy Comfort is decent enough. Each earpiece weighs 14g, and the housings are smooth with no weird protrusions. As far as fit is concerned… ugh. I will complain about this until I simply stop adding the most subjective topic of fitment. For me these fit perfectly. The slightly angled nozzle helps these earphones to sit perfectly nestled in my ear, almost like they grew there. For you however, I have zero clue how they will work.

In contrast to the usual weekly single planar driver releases, the Talos’ selling point is their hybrid switch. The 14.6mm pure planar magnetic driver is already tuned for a full-frequency response. But activating the hybrid mode brings the dual customized BAs into play, adding to the higher frequencies and increasing resolution. For a pair of planar IEMs, the S12 Pro are relatively easy to drive, but they scale with amplification. With more juice, tighter, extended bass and better dynamics are heard. Whatever its neat and fashion design or its sound effect is strictly polished. It will be your best companion for daily music hours. The S12 Pro is equipped with a custom 14.8mm planar driver to deliver good sound and demonstrate the characteristics that planars are known for

Even though the S12 Pro are not the most comfortable pair, I actually had more fit issues with the Timeless. Considering that the Timeless are also more expensive, I would choose the S12 Pro between the two. Vs Tangzu Audio Zetian Wu The clarity of the Hook-X shows up cleaner and more transparent then the S12P to my ears. This goes for male vocals as well as females. Details are more easily heard on the Hook-X with a more heightened and airy sound, but also a less natural timbre to my ears. The midrange sounds more forward on the Hook-X to me with more shimmery resplendance to females vocals. Multiple vent holes on both sides are effective in alleviating negative pressure build up within the ear canal and thus protecting your hearing. I’ve tried all the silicone eartips and none fit me well. So I tried using my old spinfit CP145 and felt a noticeable improvement in comfort and I find it sounds better too. With the CP 145, It delivers better isolation and an overall nicer tone.It is boosted here but it mainly adds some kind of a metallic - artificial hue to the treble that being fatiguing. Today, I'll be offering my insights on the LETSHUOER S12 PRO, kindly provided to me by @LETSHUOER Support , Ivy Gao for review purposes. Rest assured, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own, entirely independent and unbiased. I maintain no affiliations and haven't been requested to provide any particular viewpoint in exchange for these units. Again, thank you very much for lending me this unit for review! In conclusion, both types of eartips will provide you with satisfaction and enjoyment in your listening experience. If you prefer more bass, go for the silicone eartips. For less bass, opt for the foam eartips.

Still, to get the absolute best of this planar driven earphone I do think it sounds the best, the most open, the most dynamic and at home, when using something with more power. Needless to say, that both of my daps (M6 Ultra & Dx240) equally made the most of the S12P. Both adding their own flavor to the sound. The Quad AK4493SEQ chips in the M6 Ultra and the ES9038 Pro chip within the DX240 both have fantastic synergism and show the adaptability of the S12 Pro. I suppose the same result would be had with both the original S12 as well as the Zeos tuned Z12. My only complaint for the cable could be the weight and stiffness that was also the case with the original S12. The cable of the D13 is for example a softer, lighter and more flexible. FWIW, the KATO is more neutral than the V-shaped S12 Pro. S12 Pro has more bass and treble, but the S12 Pro’s bass isn’t as tight, and the treble can be harsher and more sibilant on the S12 Pro.The Timeless, as alluded to, were the spark plugs that drove the full force of the current planar hype down on our wallets.
