About this deal

They offer a large range of luxury lollies, fresh sorbets, ice cream and even pupsicles (lollipops for dogs!) at their farm shop, in a range of understated, but fabulous, flavours! Field after field of bright yellow oilseed rape in bloom as you drive along Norfolk’s country lanes is a sign that summer is on the way. Oilseed rape is a valuable crop, much of it used for cattle fodder and biofuel. Woodfordes Norfolk Nog Beer Kit produces a beer with a full roast malt character which dominates the nose and palate.

Yare Valley Oils make a range of cold-pressed rapeseed oils at their farm in the Norfolk Broads, and you can buy their produce directly from the farm shop there, or online. Their flagship extra virgin Original Rapeseed Oil has a delicious nutty taste and is the base for all their infusions. Try the madras infusion for a punch of spicy flavour, or my favourite, the vibrant natural lemon infusion. With the convenience of everything included, these real ale home brew kits are a great way to get started with home brewing.

Gyle No: L242. Opaque umber with gorgeous crimson highlights. The toasted tan head is on the small side because I used a gentle pour so that sediment wouldn't enter the glass. Since the beer is so dark, I can't tell how much sediment is present or when it might be exiting the bottle. The cap isn't especially attractive as it falls. It maintains a featureless surface and graces the glass with almost no lace. However, we recommend to you, to use 1.5kg of unhopped liquid malt extract (LME) – again the colour appropriate to the type of beer being made (see colour guide below). Those of you with athletic cats ought to proceed with caution when deciding where to place this on your tree. You can eat at the restaurant that is now in Stoke Mill, where the first Coleman’s mustard was developed, or find out more about Colemans’ history at The Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell, but there is sadly little left of Coleman’s legacy in Norwich. Over at Holkham Hall, Crush has started to make single variety rape oil for domestic and culinary use, using between four and five tonnes of oilseed rape grown on the Holkham Estate, which you can buy at the Holkham gift shop, or directly from Crush.

Many of our members are born and bred Norfolk ladies and remember Norfolk fare very fondly. I myself am a Londoner but love baking. Family-owned Dann’s Luxury Norfolk Ice Cream Farm in North Tuddenham is known locally for its award-winning Norfolk farmhouse ice cream. Their ice creams are freshly made with milk from their own herd of pedigree Holstein-Friesian cows. Established in 2006 in Thetford, Norfolk , St. George’s Distillery was the first English distillery for over a hundred years. It was founded as The English Whisky Company by a father and son team of James and Andrew Nelstrop. Norfolk is producing some top-notch ice cream and gelato right now. With new ice cream makers pushing the boundaries of flavour combinations, it’s worth making sure you choose a locally made ice cream when you’re looking for that summer sugar rush! People initially baulk at the word vinegar when offered the cake, but there is no vinegar taste and everyone enjoyed it very much. A cake with no egg. Useful for when the hens were not laying well, so the book says. The Norfolk shortcakes are made with pastry. Well we have all dabbled with mum's leftover scraps of pastry as children, this is the same premise.

Another recent release, Tombland is the seventh book in C.J. Sansom’s Shardlake series. The book takes us into the heart of Norwich, two years after the death of Henry VIII. His son, Edward, is 11 years old, and sits on the throne as England descends into economic and political turmoil. In Norwich, Kett’s Rebellion is beginning, as the peasants revolt to overthrow their landowners, and at the same time, murder befalls one of Norfolk’s most famous families… The use of a LME will undoubtedly produce a beer of pure quality, depth, body and flavour than options 1 or 2 above. The ABV will be determined by the use of a hydrometer With this real ale home brew kit expect to make up to 40 pints of dark ale with an approximate strength of 4.5% ABV. In addition to their single malt range, the English Whisky Co also produces a variety of grain whiskies and liqueurs under the brand name ‘The Norfolk’. The distillers are always experimenting creating new expressions of limited editions English whiskies. seymour wrote: I don't know what's available in your stores (at least some of these were listed on the ASDA link you posted), but here's a list I've been compiling of bottle-conditioned beers which are believed to contain the primary strain. I'm sure there are many more which I've missed, and perhaps some of these listed contain a secondary bottling strain. As always, I'm eager for corrections and rebuttals.
