About this deal

A good idea is to walk a couple of paces up and down and listen to the signals. If you suspect any false signals, you can adjust the reactivity. Salt water is conductive, so another way to get the coil to settle is to run the surf over the coil a few times while the ‘Salt Sensitivity’ setting is adjusted from the maximum to around 7/6. The truth is the price reflects the quality of what you’re getting and the fact that it’s lightweight combined with its superior ergonomics will allow you to hunt for longer, resulting in more finds. XP Deus 2 VS. XP Deus Uses FMF up to 40kHz – uses low and high frequencies. Very efficient, works well in mineralized and trashy ground when searching for small targets. Reactivity is set at 2.5 The bottom stem is a single rod that fits into the upper arm. It is more of an oval or semi-square shape and smooth to the touch. The coil is easily fitted into the bottom stem with a butterfly-style self-tightening screw. Iron Discrimination– this important feature allows the user to cut off signals from worthless iron objects, and decrease the number of useless digging episodes

The best way to find relics is immediately switching the XP Deus 2 to RELIC mode. It’s very similar to its GOLD FIELD mode. However, in RELIC mode, it uses lower subtracted frequencies to locate larger objects.

Our DEUS II Packs

DEUS II has the advantage of offering a wide range of programs suitable for all ground and search conditions.

Currently, there are no after market search coils available for the XP Deus II. I don’t expect to see any after market coils come on to the market for the Deus II. The original Deus never saw any after market coils developed. Most of XP’s technology is built into their search coils and this is a feature exclusive owned by XP. Which After Market Search Coils are Available for The Minelab Equinox? Nor do I see a Deus 2 replacing this telescoping Equinox with 6” coil for light weight compactness and ability to work in tight quarters. Also a decent deep seeking discriminating pinpointer for use with a PI detector. You may find that in a forest setting, valuable items can be buried pretty deep. I suggest having the XP Pinpointer on hand to guide you to the treasure. It helps avoid unnecessary digging and wasting time. We have successfully resolved the issue of remote control rebooting or WS6 freezing in very rare configurations.

The XP Deus has been on the market since 2009. It was marketed as the world’s first fully wireless metal detector and featherlight at only 750g, which is 50g lighter than the new XP Deus 2.

XP WS6 headphones represent the newer generation of wireless headphones by XP. These are not only headphones, they also work as a remote control box, being able to connect to the coil. This way, the detectorist can use a super lite version of Deus II, and enjoy the utmost convenience and flexibility. Overall Performance: This is where the EQX was superior to my original Deus. The multi-frequency/multi IQ of the EQX vs the selectable single frequency of the Deus was an obvious choice in my salt water beach hunting environment. I eventually sold my Deus for that reason. Now, if XP has really overcome that limitation in the Deus II with their FMF feature, I'll be happily impressed.
