We shouldn’t be kissing on the floor of his bathroom and his hands shouldn’t be on my body and I shouldn’t be enjoying it.”

Did I Mention Lyrics | Genius Lyrics Jeff Lewis – Did I Mention Lyrics | Genius Lyrics

I try my hardest to smile, to grin so that I won’t have to explain why there’s a permanent frown sketched upon my lips. It’s always so much easier just to smile. I also hate the message of this book. That a girl can save a drug-addicted boy if she just loves him enough. That's not real. But, hey, he's so hawt! And she lurrvvvesss him! No. Go home, Eden. Finish high school and go on to your college in Chicago. There are loads of boys there, boys who are motivated and aren't your stepbrother and have never been addicts. Tyler does not need the drama you will bring; he needs years of intense therapy. It will grip you from the beginning and won't let go until long after dark, with a scorching forbidden romance at it's core. Maskame produces a daring debut filled with fun, friendship and a whole 'lotta feels. This is one series you don't want to miss. I usually hate “stepbrother romances”, it’s just not my cup of tea, but quite surprisingly, I can say that I really liked this one. It was fun, angsty, and totally worth the read. Like I said, the perfect summer read. I absolutely recommend it!This was a bit of a guilty pleasure read for me since it’s YA. I started reading expecting to like this book and then to forget about it. I definitely did not expect to love this as much or expect it to affect me as much as it did. I adored this book and it turned out to be one of my favorite stepbrother romances of all time. Don't be." He opens the door, and we head inside, my suitcase trailing behind us, its wheels scraping along the wooden flooring. It's open," he tells me, nodding at the vehicle as he pops the trunk and throws my suitcase inside. Ella, my dad informed me recently, is his new wife. A replacement for my mom: something new, something better. And this is something that I can’t understand. What does this Ella woman have that my mom doesn’t? A better dish-scrubbing technique? Better meat loaf? It's been a year since eighteen-year-old Eden Munro last saw Tyler Bruce: her stepbrother… and her secret love. Although they called time on their forbidden relationship for the sake of their family, Eden can't help but feel excited when Tyler invites her to join him in New York City for the summer.

Readers will root for them, like they would with Edward and Bella—the mutual attraction and need for one another is palpable. It rings of passion, excitement, and first love." — VOYA Magazine So, here's the thing... I feel like if you just read the first book, it's not great. It requires dedication and patience because the characters are all Young Adults so at times the immaturity is pretty glaringly obvious. But as the series progresses you can see a lot of growth. And I know that that was one the the major factors why I continued to read the series even though I didn't enjoy the first book that much. A highly addictive series about step-siblings Tyler and Eden and their incredibly powerful love story. This box set contains books 1-3 in the series, Did I Mention I Love You?, Did I Mention I Need You?and Did I Mention I Miss You?. The character who I hated most of all was Eden's dad. Even after basically abandoning his daughter three years ago, he never tried to reconnect with her when she was living in the same house as him. He acted as if he had a right to be a 'father' to her whenever she stayed out, and I think he forfeited that long ago. He acted like he was the perfect father, and I actually think Eden would be better off without any father at all. A lot can change in three years. Three years ago, I was three inches shorter. Three years ago, my dad didn't have noticeable graying strands throughout his hair. Three years ago, this wouldn't have been awkward. If there’s one thing I’m sure of when it comes to this book, it’s that it’s the ultimate summer read. I’m glad I waited for the summer to arrive to read it because it was absolutely perfect. There's a series of thuds as two boys come jogging down the staircase, their footsteps pounding against the oak as they jump down two steps at a time. Just hanging out,” Jamie answers. He is so totally Ella’s child. His sparkling blue eyes and shaggy blond hair make this connection clear. “Do you want a drink or something?” Chase comes across as very reserved. He, too, has inherited Ella's flawless genes. "Hi," he mumbles, not quite meeting my eyes. "Mom, can I go to Matt's?"

Hey,” I say. My lips curl up into a beaming smile. From what I remember of my conversation in the car, Jamie is fourteen. Despite being two years younger than me, he is about the same height. “What’s up?”She was kind and sweet and i liked that when she recognize Tyler's problem, she demanded to help him, even though that she didn't like him at all, at that point. Written in first person, Maskame’s trilogy opener is an excellent portrayal of a teenage girl’s life in the 21st century. Eden has to adjust to her blended family, try to feel pretty, be body conscious, and make friends, all while falling in love for the first time. She is someone all young people can relate to...Romance fans will be captivated by Eden and her journey to finding herself and true love." — School Library Journal

As I was saying, I think I can see the similarities between the After and the DIMILY series. I enjoyed my weekend read. Dad nods, killing the engine and closing his sun visor. “You see that window?” He points to a window on the second floor, the one right in the center. While spending the summer with her father and his new family in Santa Monica, Eden Munro faces many new experiences and finds herself falling for the one person she should not--her stepbrother, Tyler. ughhhhhh. que terrible este libro, no se acababa nuncaaaaaa jajaja. literal me obligué a terminarlo, porque quería saber qué pasaba al final... obviamente todo fue muy predecible. Lastly, if you really enjoyed the After series by Anna Todd, I’d say you would probably enjoy this trilogy as well. Now, don’t get me wrong, the characters and the stories aren’t the same, but both series have a similar vibe. That’s why I think that if you enjoyed one, you’ll probably enjoy the other.

DID I MENTION I LOVE YOU: : Maskame, Estelle ~ Estelle Maskame captures the power of love and loss all at once. Did I Mention I Love You is triumphant, exhilarating and captivating. She conveys the struggle of pain perfectly. A writer already touched by greatness. A beautiful read. It keeps you on your toes and makes you want to keep reading." — SLJ Teen
