AP_0001 I’m not sure about PS5 but on the PS4, you can plug the headphones into the controller. I found it easier to actually connect my headphones wirelessly to my TV though, as I prefer not having a wire dangling. They're definitely the most comfortable headphones I've ever had myself (never spend more than 200 on such a thing). Still don't really like having them on for too long. Obviously one of the the headset’s major selling points is its ability to go wireless but, should you decide to run it into a mobile device or your PlayStation VR, Sony includes a standard 3.5mm-to-3.5mm audio cable inside every box.

Considering the 3D Pulse, Gold, and Platinum headsets all use the same tech (presumably) and the same connection interface (I think I read somewhere it still uses the USB dongle?) there is absolutely NO reason the Gold and Platinum would not work for PS5, including while playing PS5 games with 3D Audio.
