I couldn't read this book fast enough! I loved the thrill and suspense. The TV went off and I just kept reading! the Russian nesting dolls were supposed to be creepy but they were not. They were mostly annoying and pointless With her main characters especially, I feel like they are my friends doing stupid things and making stupid mistakes and I just want to shake them. I'll admit, I do scold them frequently; out loud. Then I was confused and definitely unsure just like Blaine was I felt her emotions I rode the wave with her... But slowly and surely she made me smile and happy again (she would bloody want to) and now this story will definitely stay with me forever and has been added to MY BIG BOOk OF FAVORITES Following two perspectives, through both past and present timelines, this narrative is expertly woven together to keep you at the edge of your seat. I had so many theories.

And of course! The steamy scenes were spot on! Sexy cop with a nice booty and a great cook? Sign me up! Their cooking lessons, reading Romance books together, saving puppies, giving each other what they needed... Lord have mercy, every time I thought it couldn’t get any better they proved me wrong over and over again. Their relationship flowed so beautifully and naturally and I loved every single second of their banter and every single moment that got them closer together. My heart was fluttering and felt so gooey with so many romantic gestures and moments when they were simply there for one another. Little moments that might’ve seemed simple but meant the world. I couldn’t put the book down, it was wholesome, romantic and holy hotness, all the steam coming out of my kindle. My friends, sexy times in this book are off the freaking charts (yep, handcuffs and a uniform may or may not be involved). A plot that was a mix of emotional, healing, suspenseful and gasp worthy at the same time that made this powerful story absolutely epic!

I loved the characters of the two sisters Layla and Ellen, one good and one not so good. The ending was unexpected and was exactly in line with the good. Another good book by this author. Can highly recommend. It’s Livia’s 40th birthday, and her husband Adam is throwing her the party of a lifetime to make up for the wedding they never had. Everyone she loves will be there, except her daughter Marnie, who’s studying abroad. But Livia is secretly glad Marnie won’t be there.
