About this deal

Now 14 years later they reunite and rekindle the old feelings that never made it to the surface. This beautiful romance is full of feels, love and scenes that will have you swooning. Anyone else remember the anticipation you would get when you had to WAIT for every episode...or record an episode on VHS if you weren't gonna be home when it aired? Soooooo good. That delayed gratification, I swear. It made TV magical. And this book definitely triggered some nostalgia for that lost feeling.

And Thomas was also one of the few people on the snowbound campus that 20 December 1992 when Vinca and the teacher who was assumed to be her lover disappeared. Summary: When the stars of the hit show Girl on the Verge reunite for a much anticipated reunion show, fireworks ignite. Old loves and new rivalries form as they try to navigate a return to the world of Girl and whether or not a reboot is in their future. When two former teen stars reconnect at the reunion for their hit TV show, they discover their feelings for one another were not merely scripted in this charming and heartwarming novel perfect for fans of Christina Lauren and Sally Thorne.

Liv has unresolved feelings for Ransom. They were close friends but Ransom ended their friendship to freely date with other people without public intrusion and attracting attention of gossip columns. Meh, another hairdresser read. The premise is good - revenge is a dish best served cold, but it took a long while to get there. An intriguing past present novel with a school at its centre which always appeals to me, I read this fast, engaged with the characters and setting and thoroughly enjoyed it.

There were so many cute details and things I loved from this books, along with Bre and Ford, Liv and Ransom’s best friends’. I have some hopes for them so I’m looking forward to the future! Soon we’re stepping through wide glass doors and into the bright midday sun. I slip on my shades and run one hand through my short brown hair, glad I remembered to get it cut before this trip. It could be worse—in December, the highs here top out in the mid-eighties—but I’m not built for the heat. My pasty skin burns no matter what SPF I apply, and I’m not the world’s strongest swimmer. I’m not afraid of the water; hanging out in the shallow end of a pool is fine, and I can wade out in a lake to fish, but the ocean is not my friend. Even in salt water, somehow I sink.

Overall this is one of my favorite offerings by Modglin. I listened to it as an audiobook narrated by Meg Price. Although she gets a bit whispery at times, the narration is good and kept me invested in the story. I couldn't stop listening and devoured this book in less than a day. I can't wait to see what this author comes up with next. There are plenty of other lapses in logic. At one stage, a character crawls out of the sea then makes a call with the phone that has been underwater with him for what must be several minutes. Plus the fact that Gruffudd only travels to Cap d’Antibes for the reunion after receiving an anonymous invitation from someone saying they suspect he’s a murderer – surely staying away would have been more sensible? Vinca ran away with her philosophy teacher. Or that's what they want you to think. Three friends are reunited 25 yrs later for a school reunion, where secrets are exposed, and lives are changed forever.

Now–The time has finally come to sell the family farm and Claire is organising a reunion of her dearest friends, the same friends who were present the day her sister went missing. But he remains coy about what exactly the problem is, and what that misstep from a quarter century ago was, only slowly dosing out the information he has -- to which are added, in rapid succession, stunning odds and ends that surface as he starts digging around -- some of which make what he was involved with begin to look like small potatoes ..... Viaja desde Nueva York hasta la idílica Costa azul para reunirse con sus antiguos amigos a pesar de las reticencias iniciales, no le queda otro remedio ya que su amigo Maxime parecía muy alterado cuando lo llamó. At one point, the police hand over evidence to Cait (wait, what)? Does this ever happen? Okay, I'm finished. Too many silly scenarios + YA drama and NOT thrilling. The Reunion is one of those books that plays greatly on secrets and how those who keep them are capable of doing far more damage than we could ever imagine. I really enjoyed how we a led to believe that our footing is so very strong in our convictions. We are after all told the tale by the very victim of said crime. And it feels so comfortable and easy to go along with all this. Why not after all we are told the truth and our aim on these villainous people is so very true. And as we come face to face with our rouges gallery they all seem to play up to their stereotypes. It is far too easy to believe ill of someone when they display all those inherently suspicious characteristics that we associate with those who wish us harm. But this also goes to show us the skill of the writer she plays each hand well and to me at least none of them descend into some sort of pantomime villainy. But is all as we perceive perhaps not and what we do get to see is that even what may be perceived as the most solid of friendship groups can in fact be very toxic. Undenether the surface miss trust and jealousy can run rampant and when communication has completely broken down it is far ti easy to jump to conclusions.

Yes, he and Maxime are in very real danger of having what they did in 1992 be exposed and come crashing down on them -- but that isn't even close to just the half of it. The Romance: Reading the plot I expected an angsty second-chance romance, where the characters go through a series of deep emotions and understandable hesitations about seeing each other and working together once again. What I did not expect is the insta-love energy that Liv and Ransom show upon seeing each other after so long. Listen, I understand that some people will feel familiar no matter how much time has passed especially if they were extremely close in the past. However, when two people have a major falling out and don’t speak for 14 YEARS, I’d think they would try to become reacquainted with each other and talk about what happened BEFORE exchanging flirty texts and making out. This author evidently disagrees. Liv does have a series of cautious thoughts contrasted with her attraction to Ransom who she has always had a crush on. Yet, it felt like she was in love with the memory of him and what they had in the past. Suffice to say even the cute moments Liv and Ransom shared as they reconnected in adulthood didn’t make their romance feel particularly special or substantial to me. Girl on the verge” is hailed by critics as iconic and trailblazing, a breakthrough hit shattered records after records for six complete season! It ended with a cliffhanger. Will the heroine live the town to chase her dreams or will she stays with hero to ride into the sunset? After the initial introduction to what had happened in the past the story jumps to present time where the point of view will begin switching between characters. In the present Claire’s father has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and she gets the idea that it would be good to get all the old crowd together before he gets worse and the family has to sell their property. The characters were my favourite part of the entire book. Ransom and Liv are both easy to root for. Everytime I thought 'this is it - they're gonna get together', the author was diabolical and kept me waiting. Es el primer libro que leo de este autor animada por varias recomendaciones sobre sus libros y aunque en su conjunto me ha gustado, hay cosas que me han chirriado en la relación de Francis y en el personaje de Alexis. Tal vez, me esperase más del libro. The Reunion” was a story full of secrets, lies, and deception. There was a lot going on, but I found it gripping. I became invested in many of these characters and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. On account of her fathers, Altzheimer's Claire decides to have a reunion of the old gang who saw her dad as a father figure growing up.
