About this deal

When getting a trail camera, you don’t want to compromise on quality, and GardePro seems to have spared no effort in making the A3S a versatile high-quality no glow trail camera while keeping its cost low. With this new BlazeVideo model, it’s a case of ‘anything you can do, I can do better’ as it seems they have tried to outdo all of their closest competitors in every category. The first number should be at least a ‘5’, which means it is protected from the majority of dust ingress. A ‘6’ means the item is dust tight. File Types It offers 1080p (~2MP) video recording, has a 24 megapixel camera for still photos, 36 infrared LEDs (allowing for both day and night vision) and the ability to record at a 120° angle. It’s also easy to set up and operate. Of course, there are some functions that it doesn’t perform quite as well as premium cameras, but given the price it’s one of the best garden wildlife cameras if you’re working on a budget.

Good things first: it comes with a 32 GB SD card meaning that no additional memory is required to get it to work. Given that the set up is easy, and the instructions are clearly explained, the camera can be up and running within a few hours of opening the box. Trail cameras work by using sensors, usually infrared thermal sensors, to detect movement and trigger recording or photo capture. The cameras’ range describes its field of view – the area that the sensors can monitor from the cameras’ location. The video recording length is also limited, to between 10 – 90 seconds, so don’t expect to capture any feature-length films. However, it’s worth pointing out that 90 seconds is actually longer than some other trail cams allow (for example, the GardePro A3 Camera can only record a maximum of 30 seconds). HD H.264 Video] The camera records high clarity 1296p 20fps or 1080P 30fps video. Equipped with an advanced mic, the cam records incredible clear sound. Enjoy more real wildlife world. Featuring H.264 technology, it reduces 80% storage space of video files than MJPEG video in .avi format produced on other wildlife cameras.Even the night video footage captured from a few metres away is surprisingly smooth and clear, and when compared to models from only a few years ago it is, pardon the pun, like night and day. When you turn on the time-lapse mode, the camera will start recording at specified time intervals that you select. It is the go-to mode if you are experiencing false triggers that you can’t get rid of or if you want to monitor an area that is beyond the range of the PIR sensors. A thing to know about this operation mode is that it turns off the PIR sensors so the camera can’t be “triggered” as it normally would. I recently tried the SUNTEKCAM 4G 4K 30MP Wildlife Camera for monitoring wildlife in my garden. The 4K video and 30MP picture quality is impressive, capturing clear images and videos both during the day and at night. The camera’s night vision with a 110° PIR angle performed well in low-light settings, providing crisp images of nocturnal activity. Hello, currently A3S camera can not use solar panels, but we are developing this function and expect to be able to achieve it in the near future. Thank you.

The best wildlife cameras for the garden will record videos with a resolution of 2 – 10MP (megapixels). However, you may also see “1080 pixels” mentioned, along with “HD”, “Full HD” or “4K” – so what do these mean and how can you compare them? There are a few factors worth knowing here, because different cameras use different terminology when talking about resolution, making them initially difficult to compare. The A3S should be pretty economical on battery usage, which should save you a lot on replacement batteries over time. It uses 8 AA batteries, which can last you up to 8-months in the camera while in standby mode. For the longest life and best camera performance we suggest going for high-quality options like Energizer AA Ultimate Lithium batteries. While you can use rechargeable batteries in the A3S, GardePro recommends that you DON’T since the lower voltage rechargeable batteries provide may cause performance issues with the camera. So, as I said originally there are a few flaws, but for the price you won’t find many wildlife cameras with the specs that this one has. It offers a massive 32MP camera, IP66 protection rating, large LED display, 512GB SD card support, and much, much, more. Definitely worth some consideration. Pros Photo image quality in trail cameras is most commonly measured in megapixels (MP). The higher the MP, the better the image quality, or ‘resolution’. Most will offer between 12 and 20MP quality, with cheaper wildlife trail cameras often sitting at the lower end of this scale.
