It’s been a while since I posted a memoir-based blog (apart from last month’s ‘Stranded in New York City’), the last one being ‘Four Schools in One Term.’ When I got home from school that day, my mother questioned me about the matter and it did not take long for her to obtain a confession to, in her opinion, a misdemeanour worthy of ‘six of the very best!’ I was brought up in a village in Hertfordshire in the 1950s and 60s.
