About this deal

For those that don’t mind it or do find it amusing then dive in… I recommend reading the other four books in the series but you don’t have to you could read this as a standalone but perhaps some of the references and characters will go over your head… but there is plenty of action and fun and wild stuff going on to keep you occupied if you just want to dive in at the end. How wrong I was… The Hoon series was a rollicking ride from beginning to end and what an end it was, too! A larger than life bully with a penchant for bad language, Hoon was a deliberately over the top caricature—a barely human monster who existed largely to make the lives of the other characters that bit more difficult. He swore he’d never set foot there again, but almost four decades after he left, Bob Hoon is finally going home. I have said before; Hoon is over the top, foul mothed, and eager to use violence as a blunt instrument to find out what he needs to know.

Long time JD Kirk fans will be glad to know that DCI Jack Logan and his team feature as does Hoon's sister, the equally obnoxious Berta and Skye's most notorious one-eyed Liverpudlian arms-dealer Iris.Consenting to these technologies will allow us to process data such as browsing behavior or unique IDs on this site. I absolutely love the characters in this series and it was great to have a little more crossover between this series and the DCI Logan one. And when my first Space Team book came out, a couple of people in that group who I’d not necessarily helped but who had seen me help others out, shared it, said check this new book out, and it just built from there. It is an excellent read for fans of Reacher and Bourne, or anyone who loves great action flicks or books. JD Kirk lives in the Highlands of Scotland with his wife, two children, and a number of sturdy umbrellas.

I had picked that one, Bones, for a few reasons, but mainly because authors Alex Smith and JE Mayhew have both recommended the author and series. As far as I was concerned, you wrote something and sent it to London, and 6 months to a year later a book arrived in the post. Luckily we were in a position where it wasn’t just me doing everything, we had cover designers, editors, working with us freelance. Then when people were asking about merchandise, I had all the rights, so I did T-shirts, mugs, and we were able to exploit audio fully, because a lot of my books the audio rights were with the publishers but they never did anything with them. And so, if he and everyone else in the centre are going to make it home for Christmas, Hoon is left with only one choice. But a lot of people like that lingering in a place and establishing the scene, so it fascinates me how different readers respond to different ways of writing.

But instead of a Saint Nick who heals from wounds you have Hoon willing to push through injury, pain, and likely his own death to save others and foil a huge plot! As funny and suspenseful as usual, it made me laugh uproariously, while cringing at what was going on.We’ve actually just started doing some Logan and Hoon series merchandise, exclusive merchandise whose proceeds are going to local charities based here in the Highlands.
