About this deal

Child car seats come in sizes called groups, which are based on a child’s weight, or categories for i-Size based on a child’s height. They’re fitted either with ISOFIX points in your car, or just by using the existing car seatbelts. Child seats that are fitted with ISOFIX, tend to have a third support leg or a top tether to support them. This must be used unless the child seat manual allows for belt fit options.

Road trip ready - Infant head support, ergonomic carry handle, removable canopy, make i-Juva fully cosy and convenient for every trip. You need to be sure you have enough ISOFIX connectors in your car. Many only have two connectors, which may not be enough to fit your three preferred car seats. It is also so easy to fit into your car with the belt, my baby looks safe and I presume she is comfortable as she sleeps on every journey! I have marked it down slightly for 'easy to use' and 'design' as the seat belt goes right across the lap, which can make it difficult to get her in and out, unless you take the belt off completely. However, this is my first baby and car seat so i'm unsure if it's the same for all belt-fitted car seats. First, what type of seat is appropriate for the age and size of your child? If your child is under 13kg and 85cm, they may use an infant carrier. Another option is a convertible car seat, which can grow with your child for a number of years. All Joie convertible car seats are suitable from birth. Convertible seats can then be used with the 5-point harness restraint until your child is 18kg or 105cm, at which point they should move to booster mode.

Reviews

We’ve scoured our Community to find the car seats that parents recommend as great options, either because they’re narrow or because they are designed to make three seats fit. SoftTouch 5-point harness features plush padded covers and adjusts to 3 heights to fit growing children We bought this car seat because we are on a budget and don't use our car often due to living in Central London. We liked the option of being able to use it with or without the base. Firstly, because we could save money short term and buy the base a few months down the line when we could afford it (we haven't yet bought the base as it works great without it so we are saving the money for her next car seat when she outgrows this one) and secondly because our parents' cars don't have the fixings for the base, so we needed to be able to use it in their cars too.

A: ECE R44/04 is the older car seat testing regulation for Europe, and ECE R129 is the newer standard that was ratified in July 2013. ECE R129 and ECE R44/04 have been running in tandem for the last 9 years, but as of September 1, 2023, ECE R129 will become the only standard under which car seat manufacturers may certify car seats for sale in Europe. One year later, on September 1, 2024, brands and retailers in the UK and EU will be required to cease the sale of any car seat certified under the ECE R44/04 standard. product/helpAdviseTab.hbs -->
