About this deal

Using Water Pressure Regulators should give some extra protection for where mains supplied water pressure might be higher than average. There should be two water pump controls, it seems. The main internal pump and a external pump (for the drop-in (aquaroll) pump. The Whale Easy Water Connector means there is no need to carry heavy water containers. It allows a reliable continuous supply of water and delivers water without using battery power. The Whale mains water connection is suitable for use with caravans and motorhomes with either microswitch or pressure switch systems. It regulates mains water pressure to nominal 1.5 bar (max. 1.8 bar) and is ideal for use in UK and European Parks with mains water hook-up facilities. I have a Whale mains water connection kit, that I connect on the "direct to tap" connection. The water from the taps and shower is pretty pitiful, regardless of mains pressure. I'm assuming with this set-up, there is no pump involved anywhere but the mains pressure does not seem to get through the system (must be reduced somewhere). The on-board pump won't turn on from the control panel and just beeps, so I'm guessing it's being bypassed somehow.

Just interested as to see if anyone else has experienced this problem with new whale submersible pumps - I think it is an EP1642. It is common that domestic grade plumbing pipes and connectors are used in caravans and MH's, product specifications as per JG Speedfit for example can readily cope with typical UK Mains Water Pressure. All very well - but what you might have forgotten is that the caravan is put together by unskilled labour, so there is a very good chance that at least one push fit joint isn't made correctly and you will end up with a soggy caravan.

With the flow strangled to a weep or full bore, then if you stop off the piping completely so have no flow, then the pressure throughout the pipework is exactly the same, this is what make pressure regulating valves so potentially dangerous in our application. Reliance on the pressure regulators seating being more perfect than any on board leakage. Please Note: To use the Watermaster Mains Water Hook Up with an onboard Smartflopump, the inlet strainer (if included with the pump) must be removed. Every now & then, I have leaking 'O' rings on my water system at work. I put a blob of Petroleum jelly around the 'O' rings and reconnect and all is fine for a few months. I've been doing this on the same 'O' rings for over 20 years. The equipment is subject to high usage every working day, probably used more in a day, than most caravan water pumps get plugged in and out in their lifetime.

Suitable for use with caravans and motorhomes with either microswitch or pressure switch systems. Regulates mains water pressure to nominal 1.5 bar (max. 1.8 bar). Ideal for use in UK and European Parks with mains water hook-up facilities. Forget about lugging around heavy water containers! This super practical Whale Watermaster mains water connection kit lets you connect your vehicle’s water system directly to a nearby tap/water source for a continuous and reliable water supply – and without using any battery power! I have never connected to the "via tank" connection, mainly because I don't really understand how it works, and gives me another thing to drain when we leave. I have read posts about the hose where it fits onto the spigot becomes loose or adrift, but surely this shouldn't happen on two new assemblies or is a problem with the caravan system?Ideally you should have started your own thread (question) as the answers to your problem will be different to the original and then things can get confusing. .. My van is a 2013 Sterling Elite Emerald with the on-board water tank. On the outside of the van there are two connections, straight to taps or via tank. We are currently on a long week end and the connection at is now leaking again when the pump is working.

I hope I'm making sense here, we have only had the van a few months and done 3 weekends in it so I'm still a little green. Personally I prefer to have the water delivered from the Aquaroll by the standard on-board pump, as I know I haven't had any leaks in 10 years of ownership using that method. Ensure Watermaster Mains is kept in a clean dry storage area away from direct sunlight when not in use We took delivery of a new Coachman 575VIP in June 2018. One weekend to get used the van and then off to Spain and France for three weeks in July. Our collections by our couriers are happening as usual. As it stands, delivery times are not being affected too much. Please be aware though that Royal Mail and other couriers are sometimes prioritising essential items so please bear with us if your delivery takes slightly longer than expected. Please Note: To use the Watermaster Mains Water Hook Up with an onboard Smartflo pump, the inlet strainer (if included with the pump) must be removed. I don't drink water I work with and like most people with modern caravans, I don't drink the water from the caravan water system, (due to the TCP taste) so if you used some Pet Jelly, it wouldn't cause you any problems if you only wash and wash up with it. Are we likely to get a better water pressure in the caravan if we used a Aquaroll with the supplied 12 V water pump system & ditch the Aquasource connection? Are there any settings/adjustments that can be made to the Alde water heater, incoming water? Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks The easy way to draw water from the mains supply into the caravan, with no electrical connections required. Provides protection against flooding as an automatic valve will stop water spraying when plug is removed. In high value products, like aircraft and ship's storage tanks, pressure regulators are never used as we have as a single valve, but supplemented with a pressure relief to the safety valve. Otherwise the plane's wing of ship's hull could be over stressed by an unfortunate particle of debris. To me my caravan is of high enough value, it's well being is never going to be reliant on a standalone pressure reducing valve.
