About this deal

If you have one in your log burner with some life left in it, you can simply migrate the material into any outdoor solid fuel appliance like a Fire pit, BBQ or even a Pizza oven! Ultimately, it all comes down to personal preference but here we go through the pro’s and con’s of both options. It is feeling a lot chillier than we’d expect for this time of year. Most of us have spent time getting our gardens ready to enjoy the sunshine, but the weather has other ideas! You can still make the most of your outdoor space if you have a fire pit or chiminea to keep you warm. And with the help of Firemizer, it will burn for much longer into the evening. We did note a slight performance downside with the Firebuilders. Unlike traditional Kerosene-laced ones, Firebuilders take a while to light. Ours took a few matches before bursting into life, and It was then 5-10 minutes before our (quite substantial) logs got going and our stove started to generate decent heat. We also missed that initial burst of warmth that a flaming pile of softwood kindling affords. Once going though, our Firebuilder burned away merrily for a good 40 minutes before crumbling to dust. Firemizer could not be easier to use! This award-winning fuel saving device optimizes the performance of fuel in solid fuel fires and stoves. How it works

Is the mess, difficulty of temperature control and emissions of coal swaying you more towards using gas for your outdoor cooking? Don’t make your mind up yet, Firemizer is a game changer! Simply place in your BBQ before adding your coals. It will get them hotter much faster, help them to burn more efficiently and last up to a third longer. The Hardwood was far more effective for us using the top-down method, and within 30 minutes the fire was roaring. It needed minimal interference too, just the occasional handful of newspaper to prevent the flames being smothered under the logs. The flame understandably wasn’t as golden as the Olive wood, but it gave off was that familiar smell of good-wood-burning. It also didn’t give off much steam or smoke either, keeping the stove’s glass doors clean and free of soot.Unfortunately, one thing we can’t plan in advance is the weather. But, it doesn’t have to ruin your plans if the rain starts to fall, you just need to be prepared. Gazebo’s are a great investment if you don’t already have one. They can be used over and over throughout the year, and look great decorated with lights and garlands for celebrations. Add a personal touch with hand made decorations Firstly, Firemizer boasts an exceptionally efficient nature that helps to save you over a third of your solid fuel source. By slowing down the airflow to the body of the fire, Firemizer reduces the burn-rate and its stainless-steel-alloy mesh evenly distributes the heat across the entire base of your wood or coal-burning stove or fireplace. This means that with the addition of Firemizer, your fire will burn far more resourcefully than it ever did before. Did you know that three sparklers held together produce the same heat as a blowtorch? Or that fireworks can travel speeds of up to the 150mph? Or, until 1959, it was actually illegal not to celebrate bonfire night? If you’re starting a bonfire, one box of Firebuilder can start you up to 10 perfect fires! Firework safety: You will already be reaping the benefits, and enjoying the daffodils and tulips popping up. Did you know, colourful plants and flowers increase positive energy? Plants and flowers oxygenate the air, boosting brain cells, which also improves memory and concentration. We see more animals

Springtime sees the return of bright and colourful fruits and vegetables like strawberries, kiwi’s, radishes and asparagus. Spring is a firm favourite with chefs as flavour and freshness is at it’s peak! Almost immediately, the kindling will ignite the fire logs and you will soon begin to feel the chiminea generating heat. Once the kindling has gone, carefully add a few more fire logs into the chiminea. By this point, the fire should be burning fully inside the chiminea. Glowing Embers Your Firemizer will last 500 burn hours which is equivalent to approximately 6 weeks at 12 hours per day. All you need to do is lightly brush off the ashes in between fires. Once it starts to deteriorate simply remove and recycle with your normal household metal waste.

Welcome to Firemizer

A staycation is basically taking time off, but staying at home. Lots of us are jetting off on holiday now that the covid rules and restrictions have eased. But many of us still prefer to wait for the chaos to subside before travelling again. Pork = sausages cooked at 73 °C while pork chops cook at 62 °C. Start cooking sausages on high heat so the outside is nice and charred then move to a cover part of the grill to finish off. With the winter nearly over, we should take advice from those animals waking up from hibernation – it’s never too early to start preparing for next year! So while they’re out collecting their food, why not think about getting a log-store to collect and keep more wood in to burn next winter? They have been in decline since the early 20 th century and it is estimated they have dwindled to an estimated population of only 140,000. Compared to the American grey squirrel at 2.5 million, pushing the red squirrel out of most areas. Red squirrels are most commonly found in the far north of England and Scotland. Turtle dove

Now the days are longer we can enjoy the fresh air and take an evening stroll. A perfect way to unwind after a busy or stressful day. Data was generated in a Portway Stove (Model PN2MFC) placed on an insulated mass-balance meter (Model Sartorius Combics 1) with a thermocouple positioned in the centre of the burning fire and published in a report entitled “Burn Rate Performance of Solid Fuels using FuelMiser” by SK Lam & TW Clyne, Department of Materials Science, University of Cambridge, UK in May 2011. Though wood does release carbon dioxide when combusted, it can still be environmentally conscious. Unlike other fossil fuels, wood can be sustainable if bought from somewhere that ensures the replacement of every tree felled. This means that for every tree chopped down, another is planted, meaning the source can become entirely renewable. Wood-burning fires can however still release harmful pollutants and smoke if the wood hasn’t been dried or seasoned properly. Reduce harmful air pollutants by up to 72% if paired with a Firemizer. 2. They’re more efficient than hearths. –Firstly, you will need to decide on whether you want to go all out, keep it simple or aim for somewhere in-between. Above all you want to keep it fun and not cause any unnecessary stress for yourself. As well as chocolate, it is a nice idea to place clues and riddles along the way too. Go for the unexpected and get the BBQ out It’s official, we have made it through the winter months and Spring is here! We can now welcome longer days and warmer, sunnier weather. There are many reasons to love Spring, but here is what we are most looking forward to… It makes you happier Butterflies have been in decline in recent years. However, the small tortoiseshell butterfly was once one of the UK’s most common butterfly species but in 2013 it was reported that there had been a decline of 70% in the past 10 years. Hedgehog
