About this deal

For such a short story, the author really did an amazing job at writing it and getting the characters individual personalities down. For what the promo's I saw promised it just didn't live up to expectations, which is my fault I guess.

Moments of Malevolence is an all-new standalone enemies-to-lovers romance with serial killers and hidden identities, where the villain always gets the girl even if she sets his house on fire. A all-new standalone enemies-to-lovers, serial killers and hidden identities, where the Villain always gets the girl even if she sets his house on fire. I’m having a really hard time getting into this book because the female narrators voice sounds complexly AI generated with a slight Midwestern mom lilt to it. There are some possible triggers and the author does warn readers so take notice, I didn’t find them to be a problem though. It is well written and well worth a look if you like that batpoo crazy lust that these two characters experience falling into each other.

T.L Smith truly is a mastermind of the anti-hero in her stories and Moments of Malevolence is no different. The way he would take care of Alaska, worried and cared for her was cute 🫂 I loved his twin brothers Kyson and Kenzo moments! T.L Smith consistently provides us with refreshing spicy scenes, it’s not always the same ol same ol.

Alaska and Zuko are a match made in heaven, the chemistry between the two was electric, I enjoy dual POVS and in this case it really adds to the excitement of the storyline, our MFC is a phone sex worker who strikes up an unusual relationship with the MMC, only ever speaking on the phone, they end up meeting one night at the bar she works in, she recognises his voice but he doesn't know its her I'M SCREAMINGGG! I read as I listened but I usually don't like dual narration I prefer duets but for this book thank goodness I only got to hear Corvin. I don’t want to spoil anything, but there’s a scene that will literally shock you and make you fan yourself at the same time. This is a dark and spicy romance read with enemies to lovers, touch her and die vibes, forced proximity and is an HEA.If you don’t catch up with her in her home state of Queensland, Australia you can usually find her travelling the world, either sitting on a beach in Bali or exploring Alcatraz in San Francisco or walking the streets of New York. Until the day an embodiment of my darkest fantasies walks into my bar, and his unmistakable voice sends a shiver down my spine. This book is the first one in this trilogy and it hooks you right in from the beginning with all the hate, drama, betrayal, hurt, lies, family, friends and love. This is about a strong independent FMC who works in a bar and has a secret identity as a phone sex worker. The writing was off, the dialogue didn’t always feel natural, and their personalities just couldn’t be nailed down.
