The fragrance is characterized by its dominant spicy and oriental notes, making it an ideal choice for those who appreciate a warm and tantalizing aroma. Although this cologne is available at a lesser price than Lagerfeld Classic with the same antique notes, it can’t quite match the former in its dreamy scent. I’m yet to see a modern Eau de Toilette that performs as well as Classic. Depending on your skin chemistry, don’t be surprised if you get over 12 hours of performance with a very good projection and scent bubble. I recommend not going over 4 sprays since it could be overkill, and while still being contemporary, some people might find it an old-fashioned style of perfume. The design of the Lagerfeld Classic glass bottle is rather ordinary, a parallelepiped with rounded corners, and the bottle was easily recognized due to the ring on the stopper. For example, this ring allowed perfume fans to recognize the bottle on the edge of Tony Montana's Jacuzzi in Brian de Palma's movie, Scarface (1983), a ring that would later become the feature of Photo Lagerfeld as well.
