There’s four Squads, each consisting of: a Primary Unit, like the Jedi Anakin Skywalker or Sith Darth Maul; a Secondary Unit, such as the Mandalorian Bo-Katan Kryze or Super Tactical Droid Kalani; and a Supporting Unit, such as a pair of 501st Clone Troopers, or two Mandalorian super-commandos. Further on, Mace and the party encounter Kar Vastor, a dangerous lor pelek (lord of the jungle) and volatile Force-user who leads a cadre of elite men known as Akk Guards. After a conflict, Vastor allies with Mace, and the Master rendezvouses with Depa Billaba, who has fallen to the dark side of the Force. He arrests her after learning that she has been responsible for several atrocities. The clash of lightsabers. The whine of laser fire. Clone troopers leaping over barricades and ascending structures on cables. Jedi and their Padawans dashing and flipping over a battlefield. There are a lot of Star Wars tabletop games on the markets, but very few of them feel like modern Star Wars. Until now. The Sith Lord Darth Caedus used this ability to destroy the beskar-forged armor of the Mandalorian Protector Roegr. By tapping the breastplate lightly with the hilt of his lightsaber, Caedus was able to completely shatter the armor. When Caedus was still Jacen Solo, he destroyed the blasters of several Centerpoint guards merely by exerting Force pressure in the weak points. Luke Skywalker revealed that he too could perceive shatterpoints, and taught this to Jaina Solo. [2] [9]

When applied to physical items, shatterpoints worked much in the same manner. An individual would view an item through the Force, noting where it came together and also noting weak points in its composition. By allowing the Force to surge through them into the weak point, individuals could effectively "shatter" the object, causing it to break into multiple fragments. Because the Force granted supernatural ability to those who were adept in its use, materials thought to be near-indestructible were easily destroyed. Such was the case with Jedi Knight Jaina Solo, who effortlessly shattered a disc of pure Mandalorian iron while practicing the technique under her uncle, Luke Skywalker. [2] History [ ] I’ve had Anakin Skywalker batter Darth Maul the length of a walkway, then vault off and onto an objective held bya swarm of battle droids; seen Darth Maul rip Captain Rex off a gantry with the force to shove a Lightsaber down his throat; sent Mandalorians jetboosting out of combat to grab objectives; had B6 battle droids shoot into Anakin Skywalker, only to suffer more damage than they inflicted as he deflected their shots. All of that’s par for the course for a character-focused skirmish game – distinct rules give each character its flavour and role in your Fireteam. We’ve been excited about this new Star Wars adventure since the initial announcement and having gotten our hands on it and played a few games that hype has been fulfilled. Apart from a very brief “teaser” video showing off some of the new- and very fine looking models- the actual game play mechanics haven’t been shown or discussed yet. What we do know, is that this is going to be a small scale skirmish game similar to Marvel Crisis Protocol but set in the Star Wars Universe and by the looks of some of the models, around the time of the Clone Wars. Timeline wise this is just before and leading into the Phantom Menace and onwards. I did some recess shading with Nuln Oil on the deeper parts of the models and painted Gar Saxon’s shield with 2-3 coats of Aethermatic Blue to get that forcefield effect. If you want to keep the deep blue towards the center of the shield I recommend propping him up on his belly so the shield faces downwards. This way the contrast paint will pool towards the center of the shield. Just like with the Clan Kryze characters I painted all the metallics with Iron Warriors and highlighted with Stormhost Silver. Zatu has an excellent range of games and for most of them the best prices too. Delivery is always fast and I have never received a game in bad condition. 10/10 would recommend. Legion is an immensely popular game. Though true data is hard to come by, owner interviews have suggested that it’s in the top 5 of miniatures games fairly consistently and the online fanbase seems to grow every day ( including our Patreon by the way, IS THIS ENOUGH FOR YOU JAY?!). This fact means a couple things. First, it means that there are a lot of fans, and math being math at least a certain percentage of those fans are going to be somewhat prone to anything ranging from mild concern to actual anger upon hearing news that there is going to be a new minis game in town that covers A LOT of the same ground as their favorite game, which they have spent hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars on and poured dozens of hours into painting. I’ll be candid, the initial emotion I had myself was more like…annoyance.

Often, shatterpoints existed for only brief moments, as they could be affected by even the smallest actions. [5] Shatterpoints could also be discovered in the physiology of living beings. Cade Skywalker was able to perceive shatterpoints in Darth Talon and Nyna Calixte, whom he had previously healed from mortal injury. By focusing through the Force on where the healing had taken place, Skywalker was able to see where her old wounds were, and reopen them. [6]
