Now it has returned after 15 years of absence due to popular demand. It's a complex and refined vodka that is infused with natural vanilla essence from Madagascar vanilla beans. Creamy with caramel, vanilla, white chocolate, and floral notes, the expression is bottled at 80 proof. Or Grey Goose La Vanille, as it’s been branded, as a nod to its origins in Cognac, France. As a relatively straightforward spirit, vodka can be distilled from virtually anything. It’s mostly produced by fermenting potatoes or cereal grains like wheat or rye. The majority of plain vodkas—and almost all Russian vodkas—are created with wheat, while Polish vodka favors rye, and Finnish vodka goes for barley. When vodka is produced using something other than potato or cereal grain, like Ciroc, which is made using grapes, it must legally be declared on the bottle.

A legendary spirit from a legendary distillery. This bourbon was recommended to us by one of our Facebook Group members, and it did not disappoint. This bourbon proved to blend well with Indonesian vanilla beans, especially Sumatra Indonesian beans. Captain Morgan white rum specifically is a little less strong and more subtle, which results in a creamy and smooth extract.In addition, grapes from the Cognac region of France (that also produce Champagne, we might add) are special. Their taste is unique and truly does provide a beautiful, aromatic, rich vanilla extract experience.

Remember: When selecting your spirit, " Pure Vanilla Extract" must always be made with a minimum 35% alcohol, so you need to buy 70 proof spirits (or greater than 70 proof) to maximize vanilla bean extraction. In our experience you should not exceed 50% alcohol, or 100 proof, as it will damage your vanilla beans.
