About this deal

That way you don't have all of the hobbits together, and you've kept to the groupings that are developed within the story, which I think is pretty typical to the Brickheadz strategy. Obviously here they are taken from the equivalent existing torsos but you'd still need to make decals to get them looking good. And if it’s happy to let that piece go, should we be bracing for other shortcuts across any future LEGO The Lord of the Rings sets? With that said, these do make interesting sets that you and a friend or family member can build together.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Brickheadz are a particularly niche LEGO theme, with some really ardent collectors, and those that refuse to bother given that they’re somewhat odd Funko pop-clones.Very true to the Brickheadz concept with some great custom prints and really nice shaping (especially on the beards). A little about the process: I use the piece count from Harry Potter BrickHeadz as an indicator of how many pieces I could use, to make it as realistic as an official release.

Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. A collection that allowed us to get all nine members of the Fellowship would have been a must own IMO. They also acted as the inspiration for the LEGO® Lord of the Rings theme which launched in 2012 and continues a few years beyond that with sets inspired by the Hobbit. I suppose we could get a second wave with the rest, but with the scale already off it really kills any excitement. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.Any further details on that model are few and far between at the moment, including whether it will be built in minifigure scale or microscale (or even a new and entirely different scale). These BrickHeadz sets feature stylized, blocky representations of popular characters such as Gandalf the Grey, Frodo, Gollum and Balrog.

Frodo is acceptable, Gollum is much too simplified to be credible, but the box is pretty and that's the main thing for many collectors. Gollum comes with a blue fish, his favourite food when he dwelled near the roots of the Misty Mountains. BrickHeadz has been particularly popular among adult fans of LEGO (AFOLs) and collectors due to their display-friendly nature, the wide range of characters, and the unique, recognizable style.Gandalf + Aragorn + Gimli + Legolas = 610pcs (the professors of Hogwarts has 601pcs, just for comparison. These are fantastic, now I’m not a fan of Brickheadz, don’t own a single one, BUT you’ve done an amazing job on them. This is similar to Aragorn’s, being created by a mix of shiny elements and a great printed plate, which also forms part of her face.

So spread them with the other ones to be more diverse in terms of scale and to push the purchase of all the collection (this is the marketing department speaking 😅). It’s really hilarious how bad Gollum looks, as he really nails the naked tan-baby Brickheadz look, down to his the filthy brown loincloth covering Gollum’s precious. Yes, I use as reference the original torso design, redraw and adjust to match the scale for bricks 1x3 and tiles 2x4.The Balrog in particular was an absolute blast to build, and the completed model is terrifyingly large, and opens up possibilities of larger Brickheadz, which I hope to see soon. Aragorn’s journey from a mysterious ranger to the King of Gondor takes place across the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I must confess I was always more of a CubeDude fan, and this was my first time getting into the BrickHeadz scale. That’s not to say BrickHeadz characters are hard to build, but rather you might find something that could keep your interest. Here’s hoping these do really well and send a signal to LEGO that we do really want more LEGO Lord of the Rings.
