About this deal

Want to learn about the stars and have a fun practical project? Then this star projector kit might be the option for you. A photo of a projection of Mars using the Pococo projector. You can see how vivid the colors are. (Image credit: Tantse Walter) Flip around to the projector end, however, and you can display one of 24 NASA colour images, featuring nebulae, planets, astronauts and more. The high-definition imagery is amongst some of the best we've seen in an affordable star projector/home planetarium. (Image credit: Tantse Walter)

The lights are bright and vivid, and there is a fair amount of customization, but you'll need to use the supplied remote to access some of the functions (rather than being able to access them using the buttons on the device). Other star projectors on this list, namely the Bliss Lights models, offer more color combinations, but there's more than enough here to entertain yourself and your children. The 5-Watt LED projects pin-sharp images across the whole projection, from edge to edge. The operation is quiet, and there are three sleep timers for automatic shut-off. There's no remote, app control, or in-built speaker, but these aren't functions you'll need if all you're doing is selecting your desired disk and switching the projector on to gaze at the stars.MULTIPLE SLIDES: Come with 5 different high precision slides: Milky Way,Moon,Earth and moon,Pillar of creation,NGC 2359. You can switch these slides in different scenes. We will update more slides in the future. Perfect for kids, teen girls, adults bedroom decoration.

Once again, we're not sure what we love most about this feature-rich Aurora Borealis Northern Lights Star Projector. You can easily choose between a whopping 16.7 million Aurora colors by using the buttons on the device, the remote control that comes with it or your smartphone to control it.Most interesting of all, it projects the stars based on your programmed time and date function. That means on any given time and date, it’ll accurately display the night sky and constellations of the Northern Hemisphere. (That unfortunately means those in the Southern Hemisphere may not get the accurate reading they’d hope.)

Additional disks come in a handy storage box which can easily be stored on a bookshelf. (Image credit: Tantse Walter)The Pococo Galaxy Projector is ultimately the same technology as the Orzorz Galaxy Lite mentioned above, but in a different body. Scroll up to the top of the list to read all of the functionality, it's all the same and even uses the same shape disks; it's just the shape and color of this model that makes it different. This projector would be most suited to a child's bedroom, just be mindful that the lasers aren't pointing directly in anyone's line of sight — pretty easy to accomplish given the positioning flexibility the magnetic space helmet allows.

There's also a 45-minute or 90-minute sleep timer (that you can also set using the remote), which we found ideal for a child's nursery, as you don't need to go in and risk disturbing the child to turn it off. The ANTEQI Star Sky Night Lamp landed in the fifth place on my best list. This is not just a pure night light, as the name suggests.

Astronaut Starry Sky Star Projector:A well-made novelty star projector that every kid, or space fan, will love to have in their bedroom. It isn't quite on par with other star projectors performance-wise, but it does everything we'd expect of it, given its reasonable price. ★★★★ A great app-controlled non-scientific star projector that floods the room with lovely color-blended pastel shades. Then there are scientific home planetariums that generally project 'real imagery,' so you can study and enjoy projections of real galaxies and nebulas from the comfort of your own home without investing in expensive astronomy equipment. These are much more likened to the more traditional planetariums that teach astronomy and related sciences.
