About this deal

The pages of this book are crammed with crazy characters - some sad, some mad, and some downright bad - but all with a supernatural connection. In a secluded field, encircled by thick forest, a group of Liverpool teenagers got more than they bargained for when they disobeyed their aunt's warning and set off to investigate an old stone cross - the Stone of Lamentations. The girl who experienced terrifying glimpses of the future whenever she slept with a certain pink pillow under her head. Spooky tales are not just a contemporary phenomenon - there are several ghosts mentioned in the Old Testament.

As Ian said this can make them hard to check out, particularly as the events may have occurred in the distant past. Every culture has believed in ghosts at one time or another: Buddha trained himself to overcome fear by sitting in a haunted cemetry. I know of one person who knew precisely what had occurred and where(he was living there at the time in Kirkby), but the facts in the haunted liverpool book were faulty. Absouloutly love the haunted Liverpool series and must say I have every book and audio book I think Toms ever written.Unravel the mystery of the Faceless Man of Renshaw Street, and ponder upon the peculiar case of the day when the Devil walked through a snowbound Liverpool. These stories remind me of the stories my mum used to tell me straight off the top of her head because I always wanted the ghost stories rather than 3 little pigs. Tom Slemen also documents many more timeslip mysteries and looks at the account of two men who built a working time machine. The creepy account of the psychopathic ghost who haunted a woman's car - and attempted to assault her.

The Tuebrook carpenter who was forced to build a double coffin so a dead occultist could be buried with his living wife. In this spine-chilling book you will hear of a zombie army, a creepy cannibalistic entity who lives behind the walls of a house off Liverpool's Oxford Street, a reaper-like apparition which stalked two security guards at a factory in Fazakerley, the phantom monks of Childwall who dragged a young woman from her bed. Haunted Liverpool 18 is one of the best Tom Slemen books I have ever read, packed with some of the scariest but also thought-provoking stories Tom has ever penned. Some of the legends I’ve heard of like the mystery German plane flying around and the body on the railway line near Broadgreen. This is the sort of book that you download to your Kindle at 10pm, intending to read for half an hour, and then before you know it, it's midnight, everyone else is in bed, and what's that strange noise in the kitchen?

I like the style of writing too, there are sometimes some typos left in these books, but it happens! You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. You will meet angels, fairies, ghosts, witches, elves and there are even two romantic stories about people who fell hopelessly in love with ghosts. I’ve enjoyed Tom Slemen’s Haunted Liverpool books which feature all manner of paranormal tales from an early age.

t library copy, no inscriptions, no creasing to spine, small dot to inside rear cover and last page.my mum recommended this book as she is into this sort of thing and i really enjoyed not only the spirits of my city but learning some things that you may not know even if you're from Liverpool. In volume three of Tom Slemen's legendary Haunted Liverpool series, you will read about the spine-chilling Marriage Made in Hell, the lecherous Satanist from beyond the grave - Richard Tilly, the Vengeful Grave of Allerton Cemetery, and the cursed Green Eye of the Mersey among the 49 supernatural tales contained within this fabulous book.
