About this deal

It’s hard-wearing, easy to clean and usually very straightforward to use. While it’s most commonly found in only one or two shades of white, some brands offer a wider range of colours, giving you the option to truly personalise your space. Store and move in dry conditions in a secure upright position. Protect from frost and extreme temperatures. Health & Safety Information

WRX Eggshell is a fully acrylic white eggshell capable of being used as an emulsion, or on woodwork. Being fully acrylic, you can apply this product directly to old oil-based coating without the need for a separate adhesion primer. Application and ease of use are fantastic, as is the overall finish, although it can be difficult to avoid brush marks when applying the eggshell to woodwork. Another awesome product. Full review here. If you’re painting a dentist’s surgery it’s very likely they’re going to be wiping down surfaces often so looking for something that’s hardwearing is a good shout and probably the most important factor in your paint choice. I’d personally use something like Benjamin Moore Scuff X for this. I’ve just got into airless spraying. What’s a good satinwood finish that I can spray?

Specification

years ago there weren’t very many good water-based paint products available. However, I think like diesel cars, oil-based paint is slowly being phased out. Regulations on the chemicals that manufacturers are allowed to use in paint gets tighter year on year. The market is flooded with water-based paint products nowadays, and it can be a bit of a minefield. There are a lot of paints out there labelled “water-based”, when in fact, they are ‘alkyd emulsions’. These are also called “hybrid” paints, and still contain some alkyd oil, so will still yellow over time. Satinwood, as you may have guessed by reading its name, is great at being painted on wooden surfaces. It has become particularly trendy in recent years. Most painters or paint shops will agree that satinwood is the new norm for accents around the home. Satinwood – This has a sheen level of around 40% and is by far my favourite water-based paint finish to use on woodwork. Brilliant White satinwood looks Brilliant White, and it can look very sharp on skirting boards and other trim. You also get a sense of ‘soft luxury’ from this paint finish, that gives me great job satisfaction every time I use it.

For a flawless finish, proper surface preparation is essential. Ensure your wooden surfaces are dry, clean, and free from dirt, dust, old paint residues, and loose textures. If you're painting raw surfaces, consider using a wood stain for the first coat. Lightly sand the surface and wipe it with a damp cloth to remove dust before applying the paint. Get the best results by following the grain of the wood. All tools used should be cleaned with water for easy maintenance. "Key Specifications of WRX Trade Water-based Satinwood Paint"

WRX Trade All-Purpose Satinwood is the professional-grade water-based paint that protects and enhances wooden surfaces both indoors and out. Satinwood Paint Water-based, acrylic emulsion based, semi gloss, covering and protecting topcoat satinwood paint. Ideal for panel doors and all sorts of wooden surfaces. PREPARATION There are many advantages to using water-based paint on wood, especially now, as paint manufacturers have really pushed things forward in recent years. In this blog I’m going to talk about the best water-based paint for wood. I’ll take you through the different finishes available and recommend the best products for each one. Perhaps one of my favourite paints to apply, I’ve included Scuff-X in this list due to the fact that you’re almost guaranteed to get a professional-looking finish after application. I should mention that it is just a standard satinwood paint so it’s not going to win awards for its bomb-proof durability any time soon but it does dry to a solid finish that can withstand scratches and scuffs.
