Why is it that two people never realize how much they love each other until one of them says goodbye?If you read my little info recap up there, you might have noticed that the list of tropes goes on and on; this novel is, in fact, a trope soup that will leave you full for days. If you go into this thinking it'll be the umpteenth novel filled with flying dicks and acrobatic sex, you've picked up the wrong book. Honestly, I could see they were meant for one another from the beginning but it was entertaining to see them figure it out. It's a vicious love, the kind that beats me down and robs me of all my possessions until I feel bloodied, worn, and bruised, stolen of everything that makes me.

Unless I belong to another species, I have no whatsoever liking to those who bend over backwards for a man who manages to insult them at every turning corner. I really wish I could see them both in the same saintly light, but I think this book tried too hard with the whole "I feed the homeless, im so selfless and such a good person😩" script that I mostly cringed. it was so random and it was supposed to make sense with the story, but the story itself didn’t make any sense so it was just a clusterfuck of confusion. Then it kept popping everywhere and being recommended by a lot of people, and to be honest that always scares me because so many times before I haven’t loved books that everyone else loves.Especially when dealing with the woman who gave birth to her and later on in interactions with Nash. It’s an interesting turn of events that leads Emery hunting for an employment opportunity at Nash’s company, and Nash determined to make sure that it’s the worst experience of her life. Like I said, I wasn’t expecting this one but without a doubt it’s one of my favorite books this year. I am very much intrigued by My Dark Romeo because of Huntington’s involvement, but I’m torn – I don’t really want to support Sh*n in that way.

This might be an epic love story or a great book, I am trully happy for the readers who were thrilled, but it was not for me. There were so many things I loved about this book: the writing (honorable mention to the double pov that gave me two distinct voices thank god hallelujah), the plot, the romance, the s t e a m, but I'd like to repeat myself and praise the characterization of both Emery and Nash and their superlatively done romance and their even more remarkable connection.He'd tranformed from the older brother Reed had once idolized to this monster neither of us could recognize. Now and then you'll come across a book that is SO PHENOMENAL it sets itself apart from every other book you've read and leaves you FLABBERGASTED. I was trapped outside with no shelter, forced to endure the relentless battering with no control over when it would stop. what does that have to do with anything😶 i really wanted to dnf sooner but kept thinking mm maybe it will get better.

Funny how when she was 15 and he was 25, he said his brother's girlfriend was a passing fancy but Emery was the girl you marry. There’s no going back from that night, so Emery and Nash’s already strained relationship winds up in tatters. Particularly, the romantic tension between the main characters was forced and lacked chemistry, making it difficult to understand or feel for their relationship. But I could see how the special words could become tedious, even though they became something special between Emery and Nash. FYI: it only makes you look pretentious while highlighting your lack of skill in writing a story that resonates.all i want to say is that every time nash or emery talked to the side characters…i would seriously skim and not take in anything of what they were saying because it was so boring.
