Ledger meets Kenna and he doesn’t know who she is at first. He’s drawn to her. It’s almost magnetic. Once he finds out who she is he struggles with how he should feel about her. Ledger was the perfect hero, and one of this authors best characters. Kenna was also great and getting to know her through her letters to Scotty made me love her even more. Ledger shows Scotty’s mom the letter, and she forgives Kenna, inviting her to their home to meet Diem, with whom she joyfully reconnects. Colleen Hoover always brings the feels with her contemporaries. I went into this one blind, like I always try to do with her books, and I was overcome with all I felt. It brought me to tears more than once and it had deep and heavy topics, but also moments of lightness that made me laugh. I love books that can do both. It’s the perfect balance. Not to mention that he's her boss at this point and he knows he's one of her only sources of income, he keeps putting her in sexual situations where it's arguably hard for Kenna to say no. At the heart of "Reminders of Him" lies the theme of redemption. The novel explores the profound desire of Kenna Rowan to make amends for her past mistakes and reclaim the life she lost. It delves into the complexities of forgiveness, personal growth, and the lengths one must go to rebuild trust and find closure. Maybe the best way to cope with the loss of the people we love is to find them in as many places and things as we possibly can. And in the off chance that the people we lose are still somehow able to hear us, maybe we should never stop talking to them.”
