About this deal

I don’t use it this way, but you can also use a second Vecto as a clean water bag. This setup would imitate a Platypus GravityWorks filter, great for sharing a water filter among a group or filtering lots of water for use around camp. CNOC also offers an interesting collapsible bottle called the Vesica that’s worth a look for this purpose. Design for Filtering Water Secure cap attached to the bag.I love the small bit that holds the cap attached to the bag. I do have a habit of losing small pieces like caps from my bottles. Also, the alternate idea of keeping a Sawyer Squeeze permanently attached to the bottom of a CNOC bag as you full it up with dirty water from the zip side seems like a perfect scenario for dripping dirty water onto the outlet mouthpiece of the Squeeze. That’s a recipe made in heaven for contamination.

CNOC Vecto 2L Soft Water Container Review - SectionHiker

Using the same universal 28mm thread as the Vecto, the Vesica can be used as a dirty water bottle for filters like Sawyer or HydroBlu. If you like to filter into a container for easy drinking, use the Vesica with the Vecto to create a fast, light and easy to use filtering system. Comfortable shape. The bag has a narrower middle section that allows you to easily hold it in your hand and it also has a gusseted that allows it to stand when it’s full. The Hydrapak Seeker water bags are just so much better than any other dirty bags I’ve every tried. The rubberized material is super durable while still being light, and these bags in general are just way easier/more comfortable to use as squeeze bags for dirty water. Additionally, the 42mm openings are a great size: big enough to easily pour water into with a water scoop, but compact enough to not be ungainly to deal with.An instant classic. This no-nonsense, good sized flask is lightweight, durable and easy to use. No matter what you intend to fill in with, water, milk or something stronger and more interesting this is a great flask for taking with you. I looked into those CNOC water bags and didn’t love the common complaints about the threaded male portion of the bags being to flexible so as to possibly get bent out of shape when mating with a Squeeze. I think CNOC may be trying to fix this, but I heard it was an issue.

Cnoc Outdoors VECTO 2L Water Container, 28mm Thread, Orange Cnoc Outdoors VECTO 2L Water Container, 28mm Thread, Orange

It's an instant classic. This no-nonsense, good-sized flask is lightweight, durable and easy to use. No matter what you intend to fill in with, water, milk or something more substantial, this is a great flask for taking with you. Osprey's Hydraulics Soft Flasks are small, lightweight and collapsible sports bottles with versatile, silicone bite valves. Ideal for runners as they're clean, compact and easy to use. Also, the Flux does look more durable, but it is also 2-3x heavier per unit of volume held. More importantly for me though is the fact that it’s only holds 1 liter. That’s a real deal breaker, since filling the water bag and screwing on the filtering system to it is one of the major pains when filtering. I try to minimize the amount of times I have to fill the dirty water bag at each water source, and the Flux would definitely not align with this mindset. Nice to know it exists though!

The filter removes bacteria, cysts, and sediment with its pore size of 0.1 microns (0.0001mm). The output is up to 2L/min. and the capacity up to 1000L, depending on the water quality. 100% PVC and BPA free. Specifications: In subsequent years while plugging in several sections of the PCT that we missed in 2015, my wife and I tried out the Katadyn BeFree paired with Hydrapak Seeker water bags. From that experience, we learned two things: The UltraFlask 500ml is a compact, lightweight and BPA free water bottle with a soft bite valve. Ideal for trail running but versatile enough for a range of sports. Please note: TPU is a porous material and so is not completely smell free after production, please clean and air prior to use. With all that said, I agree that the CNOC bags are probably the more reasonable solution for most people. If you want to use the Vecto as part of a gravity filter setup (and trust me, you do) the sliding plastic clamp makes it easy to attach a loop of cord for hanging. Instead of sitting there squeezing water from a pouch, you can simply hang the Vecto from a tree branch (or doorknob, bike handlebars, hiking pole tripod, etc) and let gravity do the work. The Ultra Flexi 500ml Flask is a compact, lightweight and BPA free water bottle with a soft bite valve, Ideal for trail running. No mention of the taste of the H2O from this bag. I do not want to be out in the wilderness with pristine creeks and have plastic taste from my water. I have found many hydration bladders have this problem. I suggest a test of filling the bag and leaving the water in it for a few hours then see if the taste is affected. Thanks Reply Please note: TPU is a porous material and so is not completely smell free after production, please clean and air prior to use

The classic large opening on the wide-mouth bottles easily accommodates ice cubes, fits most water purifiers and filters and makes hand-washing a breeze. This updated version uses 50% recycled materials for a more sustainable approach.

Cnoc Outdoors VECTO 2L Water Container, 28mm Thread, Orange

While I’ve tried out a whole bunch of water treatment methods, I eventually settled in on the Sawyer Squeeze during my wife and I’s 2015 PCT thru hike attempt.Explore our range of expert outdoor hydration system brands such as Hydrapak, Katadyn and Platypus. The CNOC Vecto is a “dirty bag” that turns Sawyer Squeeze / Mini / Micro, Katadyn BeFree, and other squeeze-style hollow fiber water filters into hands-free gravity filters. Hard to fill.Pretty similar to Sawyer Squeeze, the bottle does not expand when underwater, so there’s not a lot of water going in when you push the bag underwater. Unless you can always find some source of water pouring downwards, you’ll freeze your hands like I did many times using it. The Vecto water bag has a very flexible and lightweight feel to it, and one might reasonably wonder whether it can stand up to the rigors of trail life. I’ve put mine through heavy use in rugged environments, sometimes strapped to my bike without much protection, and I’ve found it to be pretty durable.
