I requested this book off NetGalley on a whim without really expecting much out of it. The premise had me intrigued and I wanted to read this mystery book. UK's most heinous violent offenders - released on licence to serve the remainder of their time in the community. I have heard it said more than once to write what you know. As a former probation officer, Noelle Holten knows her stuff. Coming from experience, her writing led credence to a well-written story that was impossible to put down. The book never once let me go as I could not wait to figure out who the killer was. With an excellent storyline, incredible pacing, a few surprise twists and a satisfying conclusion, 6 Ripley Avenue kept me on my toes as I was pulled into the story from the very start.

Sloane is a freelance investigative journalist for the local newspaper and keeps an eye of the comings and goings of 6 Ripley House and can’t wait for something to happen so she can get her big scoop for the newspaper. My only complaint was that it was a little slow, making it a rather long book. However the rather short chapters helped, and again, it still kept me interested\. Chellaston offers a full range of local amenities, with doctors, schooling at all ages, supermarkets, coffee shops and bakeries. As for the story,it did hook me and keep me there,I wanted to carry on reading as needed to know what why who and how….all this was very cleverly revealed and I am being honest in saying I didn’t guess the killer The book started as an exciting whodunnit mystery. But a few chapter later I started to lose my enthusiasm. This is one tightly written book from a few different point of views and gives an excellent insight into the probation service, and just how ex-prisoners out on licence are treated and just what everything means. I loved that some chapters were about the killer and what was going on in their mind, and they pulled off some really brutal kills.
