About this deal

The Loose Women star said she bought three big swing bins which were designed for rubbish and decided to spray paint them pink for her utility room. And, if you take away the laundry bins upstairs it forces everybody to bring their dirty clothes down to the utility room.” The recipes are literally all so delicious and I cannot wait to try them! I've told my kids we will make the breakfast bake at the weekend as it looks epic! Plus as someone who could ruin beans on toast, I like how simple the recipes are and easy to fit in with family life, top marks for that one 👍🏻 Stacey described tidying and organising her house as ‘me time’ early on in the book so I can safely say that we are very different kinds of people! I think if you are a fan of Stacey Solomon then you will really feel her energy channelled through this book and into the room with you. If you're not specifically a fan/follower of hers then I think you'll appreciate all the hints, tips and ideas in the book anyway. This pains me to write this review. I am a massive fan of Stacey Solomon, I think she is funny, creative and all-around such an amazing individual. This book, however, was not funny or creative.I recently got this book on audible and listened to it over two days. I loved everything about it. I had a couple of stressful days at work this week and it got me through my days and helped me switch off while working. It made me smile and laugh! I genuinely feel like I’ve just been having a right good chinwag with Stacey in my kitchen drinking a nice cuppa ☕️ I hope this book helps you to lose yourself for a moment, too - and that you enjoy reading it and even, maybe, having a go at some of the bits inside. One of the things I'll take away from this is Stacey's advice to not look at things in an overwhelming way. For example she says rather than saying "I'm going to clear this whole room" she says instead say "I'm going to clear this corner". Such a simple switch that will undoubtedly remove that overwhelming feeling when tidying. I also love the advice of taking everything out and laying it out on the floor to properly see what it is you have. We have so many drawers that are just filled with rubble and I guarantee some things in there have moved house with us 5 times and never been anywhere but the drawer! My weekend plans are to blitz those drawers and see what lies within..... I'm fully expecting a Nokia 3310 charger to be floating around and specific currency from countries who've had the euro for decades!! I also think it would help neurodivergent people as the tips regarding tidying and the processes Stacey uses are explained very well. As a full time working parent, it got me thinking about how many people missed this point and have barrated themselves for not feeling good enough, when they are going their best and literally had so little time to do these special things, based on this ideology. Each chapter is dedicated to a room in the house and shows readers how she transformed each room herself. Each chapter will also include a combination of hero projects (big renovation or organisational projects)I believe it would have been more beneficial to break the sections/chapters up like so, Chapter 1 Daily Routine, Chapter 2. Cleaning and organising, Chapter 3 Makeup ideas, and so on. Stacey said the task has become a “bit of a game” for her sons who now separate their washing into the correct bins. We aren’t fully finished yet, these things take time and hard work but I’m so so proud of how far it’s come along. I’ve loved every single second of it. Cheesy as it sounds I’ve learned so much along the way and things I wished I’d know before I started, but most importantly doing as much as I could myself has given me the most strong sense of self & made me feel like I can achieve anything I put my mind to. Some helpful tips and some I will never do( I won’t Hoover 4 times a day ever! Nor will I get a junk trunk) but there are some good ideas in here, especially things to make with the kids.

There is nothing original about the ideas in the book as suspected everything can be easily googled. After moving into their country home, Stacey has turned her attention to updating the house, showing her followers the details as she overhauled the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and even a cute Wendy house in the garden. As previously stated each section is based on the time of day. As a result, Stacey tells us her daily routine. Now, this sounds like a great idea, however, in my head, I was a little all over the place. She then uses a handheld steamer “if worst comes to worst” and she has to iron something for the children or herself.

Listening to the book made me feel like I knew Stacey, her personality and how she spoke so freely throughout was incredible. The thing I like about Stacey is that she is just a genuine person, doesn’t pretend to be something else, doesn’t go hard on the promoting online etc. Whenever she recommends something it is so very clear that it’s because she loves it and wants to share with the world. The honesty she shows and how it’s perfectly okay if you feel a little overwhelmed and think “I’m just going to tidy this small area instead of putting too much on myself to tidy the whole thing”. Stacey’s top tips for Britons looking to make washing their clothes that much easier is buying a laundry bin with three compartments.

I did enjoy the drawing, and they were extremely pretty. In saying that, I missed actual pictures. I thought there would be at least one family picture or even step by step pictures of Stacey making her creations. I find it hard to sit still, but losing myself in a craft project or tidying a drawer is my form of meditation. It's a chance for me to forget about the things going on in the world around me for a minute. I really hope you love this as much as I have adored making it," she wrote. "It's been my baby for the last year and im so proud of it [sic]."I find it hard to sit still, but losing myself in a craft project or tidying a drawer is my form of meditation. It's a chance for me to forget about the things going on in the world around me for a minute,' says Stacey. 'I hope this book helps you to lose yourself for a moment, too – and that you enjoy reading it and even, maybe, having a go at some of the bits inside.' Stacey Solomon is to release a new cleaning book, Tap to Tidy, filled with clever crafting, cooking and organising tips for the home. A lovely little book, sometimes it came across as patronising but it would be a great gift for someone moving out for the first time.
