Lagavulin is located on the south eastern coast of Islay and sits on Lagavulin Bay, a small bay dominated by the ruins of the 13th century Dunyvaig Castle. The finish is extremely drying with plenty of ashy smoke, warming wood spices and a flinty/chalky quality coming to the fore.
