About this deal

Overall quality seems good but obviously this will have to be tested over time. The headsets have a metal top band and plastic with rubber touch elsewhere. No issues whatsoever so far and they feel like a 'premium' headset visually as well as in the hand. Added bonus for their 'not obviously a gaming headset look', as it means I'd be more than happy to use these away from just a gaming context. Which one is best for you? Let's dive into the differences between all three with an informative table to lay it all out. Then we'll discuss the features a bit to help you make your choice. Model Of course, a headset is only as good as its sound quality, and the Arctis Nova 7P is no slouch. Featuring 360-degree spatial audio and Tempest 3D Audio support on PS5, you’ll be able to make full use of the console’s impressive audio technology. It runs for a solid 38 hours of battery life. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 features audio output pretty close to our in-house target, with a handful of notable deviations. While the sub-bass is nicely emphasized, the bass comes through up to around 5dB louder than we generally like to see between 100-200Hz, and there’s a pretty significant dip around 400Hz. However, while bass and midrange sound have some definite foibles, the high range frequency response is considerably wonkier, with a huge dip at 5kHz and a big over-emphasis at 7kHz. Lows, mids, and highs

Our list of the best PS5 headsets includes high-end wireless models as well as budget-friendly wired options and everything in between. It's worth mentioning that the pricier headsets on this list not only produce crisper and more customizable audio experiences, they tend to have better, more ergonomic builds. That's another aspect to consider when shopping: Comfort is almost as important as sound quality. As you'll see, the best PlayStation headsets come from numerous brands, including SteelSeries, Razer, Sony, and more manufacturers. We have received user reports of a noise floor when using mic monitoring. We have updated Recording Quality, but the scoring of this test hasn't changed.Being a higher-end SteelSeries headset, the performance is very impressive. It’s simple to connect to both PC and PS5 with the included USB dongle. The sound profile is incredibly clear, and even at low volume levels, you are able to hear even the most subtle sound effects or noises within a game. It’ll impress users who love a strong bass profile, too. The Nova Pro has a sleek design with a clever bidirectional, noise-canceling microphone that slides into the left earcup, which comes in handy when using the Nova Pro has a traditional pair of Bluetooth headphones. The synthetic leather earcups are ultra-soft, making it comfortable to wear for hours on end. An adjustable support band keeps the pressure off your head and allows you to find just the right fit for you. The steel headband provides a secure fit while also giving you peace of mind that the headset is built to last. Yes, we know you can’t do a 24-hour gaming session on the reg, but we know you want to! The Nova 7 brings over 1.5 days of battery, and USB-C fast charging adds 6 hours of play from only a 15-minute boost, up from the 3 hours in the Arctis 7+. 7. Design

Experience 360° Spatial Audio with our free Sonar Software for total immersion (other formats, including Tempest 3D on the PS5, are also supported). 2. ComfortMAX SystemWe've added a comparison between the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7X Wireless and the Astro A30 Wireless in the Non-Bluetooth Wireless box. ComfortMax System ensures a comfy wear over long hours of use with height-adjustable rotating earcups, flexible suspension band and pivoting hangers Imagine a world where you are listening to a podcast on your way home, then you want switch to Fortnite and teamchat, but you don’t want to miss the end of the podcast. With Dual Wireless, it’s as easy as simply pressing a button and connecting to your PC or console, and then you can hear both devices at once. Revolutionary right? One of the benefits of having that wide range of connectivity is the ability to connect to multiple devices at once, and SteelSeries has made that a feature here. Its multi-device, multi-platform support lets you connect to a wireless source and Bluetooth source simultaneously, so you can take that important call in the middle of a battle without having to grab your phone. The Nova 7 family features an all-new generation of speaker drivers which have been fully custom designed to create the best audio experience for gaming, and all your other music, movie, and podcast needs.

As our gaming headset collection grows, we understand it may be difficult to discern between the older and newer models. You may have been eyeing our Arctis 7, but wasn't sure if you should get the Arctis 7+ instead. Furthermore, our latest release includes the newer Arctis Nova 7. Out of the box, it’s clear that the Arctis Nova 7P is a high-quality headset. Its build is incredibly strong, featuring a sturdy, metal form factor to help give it that premium feel. It’s got a deep blue-hued headband across the top for enhanced comfort, and the ear cups are made of a pleasantly soft material. The entire product is white aside from its blue band to mimic the stylings of the PS5.We’re impressed with some of the software-related features that come with the Arctis, notably the new Sonar Audio Software Suite. It’s an add-on to the SteelSeries GG Engine and provides a ton more control. You can adjust mic volume, game volume, chat volume, chat mix, and much more. You can also turn on the ClearCast AI noise cancellation here. Battery life is an essential consideration when it comes to the best wireless gaming headsets since you don't want to have to worry about charging mid-match, and you’re free to use the headset for hours on end with no tether to a charging cable. As someone who is constantly forgetting to charge their tech, the battery life of the Arctis Nova 7P was a relief when I was jumping in and out of multiplayer games and Discord calls and simply not having to deal with a depleting battery light or audio signifier. Microphone quality is good. My friends in party chat noticed I sounded 'like I was on the radio', as they put it, when I first spoke to them. A dedicated mic will always win out, but they're really good for a built-in option. Bonus points for the fact that the mic also completely folds away too - retracting into the left cup. We have corrected information regarding a comparison with these headphones and the SteelSeries Arctis 9X Wireless in Compared To Other Headphones.

Speaking of features... Simultaneous Bluetooth!! It works flawlessly on all platforms. The Nova 7X works wirelessly on Xbox, PS, PC, and Switch. The Nova 7 and 7P work on everything but the Xbox (although you can use the aux cord for that at the sacrifice of convenience and sound quality). The Nova 7P changes out the game/chat mix wheel for mic side tone adjustment. The 7X and PC versions can still adjust side tone, but it needs to be done via SteelSeries GG engine. Those settings save to the headset and will be preserved when using it on console.

We know you look cool, so you need the gear to match. We made the headset light and stylish; we've made the mic neatly retract, all in a super-slim new design ID. We also added a cool PVD coating onto the super slim steel headband (Physical Vapor Deposit, also found on high-end watches). And if you really want to flex, tell your friends it took 50,000 lbs. of pressure to cold roll the steel into the shape of your noggin. Since it has that simultaneous connectivity, SteelSeries has decided to include separate buttons for power and Bluetooth. If you’re connected to a Bluetooth source and use the power button to power off, the headset will still receive that Bluetooth signal. You have to press that Bluetooth button to power it off. Though the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Wireless is more than just a light refresh, you can still see the general outline of previous SteelSeries headsets in its design. The ear cups are oval where they meet the ear pads, and the headset still comes with replaceable ski goggle headbands and ear cup plates. It also uses similar materials, namely durable-feeling plastic for the earcups and metal for the headband (PVD-coated steel in the case of the Nova 7). That’s where most of the similarities end. We have retested these headphones due to user reports of a hissing sound in Noise Isolation. We have also corrected the Firmware version in Test Settings.
