About this deal

We bring you the unique combination of unparalleled experience and affordable treatment fees, enabling you to access the help you need and deserve. Ready to talk? We are asking professionals to support children, young people and families to use readily available intervention resources before making a routine referral to us through the Access and Advice service.

The symptoms of ADHD in children and teenagers are well defined, and they're usually noticeable before the age of six. They occur in more than one situation, such as at home and at school. InattentivenessSleep problems –finding it difficult to get to sleep at night, and having irregular sleeping patterns

The SBNT is divided into clusters with a PMHT In each area. This enables us to tailor the support we provide so that it meets the needs of schools and children and young peoplein that specific area. It also allowsus to work jointly with other services in that locality. Once a referral is received it is triaged by a multi-disciplinary team of nurses and child health advisors, and then sent on to the correct service. TheOne Stop clinical team will triage the referral and make this decision – so the child gets to the right service, first time. The carers group is an 8-10 week programme that aims to help female carers of sexually abused children and young people. We know from experience that children and young people who have been affected by sexual abuse find it really helpful to meet other people who have been through similar experiences Groups for children and young people The first time I was told about CAMHS I didn’t want to accept any help as I thought it would make me feel defeated and hopeless, as it meant I couldn’t help myself anymore. Aspects of CAMHS are very challenging, such as being asked tough questions and finding the root of all my problems, but it does help as it made sure I had someone to talk to and who would understand and help me as much, if not more, than I could do alone. CAMHS has made me realise that I am not alone, and I know there is always at least one kind person who I can confide in and trust.”

It is important to be aware that at each stage of the assessment, the team will make a decision regarding whether the young person’s presentation is suggestive of ASD, ADHD or both. If it is decided at any stage that the young person’s difficulties could be better explained by other factors, the assessment will not continue and the young person may be offered alternative support and/or will be discharged from the Neurodevelopmental (ND) Service. Most people with ADHD have problems that fall into both these categories, but this is not always the case.

Every mental health treatment programme is as unique as you are; our exceptional level of experience enables us to identify the best therapy or combination of treatments to help you. One Stop is a clinically-led, centralised referral and triage service for targeted and specialist children’s services in Surrey. One Stop works to ensure children and young people are receiving the right care, in the right place at the right time. We are working hard to improve the referral system, but for now please continue to make requests for support (referrals) through the portal or via the Access and Advice service (formerly CAMHS SPA) on 0300 222 5755Call the Children and Family Health Surrey One Stop on 0300 222 5755.Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 11am. How do I refer to other children’s community health services, such as safeguarding, continuing care, audiology or children’s community nursing? Referrals are made via the Children and Family Health Surrey One Stop, a centralised referral and triage service for Surrey's specialist children's services. Referrals for continence (early toileting, constipation, nocturnal enuresis, daytime enuresis), occupational therapy and speech and language therapy can be made directly by parents/carers themselves via One Stop. How doesOne Stop work?

A referral for my child/young person was made before 31 October 2022, and Access & Advice Team have sent me questionnaires to fill in (eg: ASSQ, SNAPS). What should I do? It may be useful to have a brief period of "watchful waiting"to see if your child's symptoms improve, stay the same or get worse. Our community teams assess and treat children and young people who are struggling with difficulties associated with neurodevelopment conditions where these are having a significant impact on the child’s development and quality of life, and causing them and/or their carers distress. These difficulties may be causing the child or young person's functioning to deteriorate and problems to escalate. We also support specialist education setting to promote a whole school ethos and environment that supports the emotional and mental health of pupils, staff and the wider school community. I spoke to a lady called Sarah who was fantastic. She related to what I was saying about my son and signposted me to get lots of support. She could not have been more patient and helpful. In recent years, the demand for ADHD and Autism assessments has dramatically increased across the country. Therefore, the number of requests Mindworks Surrey receives every day has significantly increased. We are working hard to increase capacity across Mindworks to process these requests.
