About this deal

The AOCAOC G2590FX 144Hz gaming monitor is based on a newer 24.5″ TN panelmade by AU Optronics, as opposed to the older 23.6″-24″ TN models. As mentioned before, playing eSports titles like CS:GO or Valorant on the AOC G2590FX is a pleasure since you get a fast, blur-free motion experience allowing you to tap heads like there is no tomorrow! The LG 27GN800-B is the best option for you, It has 27 inches QHD IPS display with 144Hz refresh rate, and it supports both G-Sync/FreeSync technology, The image quality on this monitor is excellent and the monitor is adjustable so you can change the viewing angle of the display to a comfortable position. 2. SAMSUNG Odyssey G5 (LC32G55TQWNXZA) Well, as expected the 144Hz makes your gaming experience smooth and the input lag is minimal at around 3-4ms depending on the testing methods. The monitor also boasts a 1ms response time, but as with every other monitor tested so far this is an exaggeration. Combined with the low input lag mode and the pixel overdrive set to medium, the overall upshot is a very snappy gaming experience indeed. For the record, AOC claims response times of just 1ms.

I have also had a similar issue when the monitor went to sleep while having the Adaptive-Sync active. On wake-up, the screen looked fine but of fast movement, you could see a lot of ghosting and weird artifacting. Again, the overall look and feel of the screen falls short of the latest HDR panels for sheer wow factor and vibrancy. But it’s a reasonably punchy display of its type and certainly offers plenty of shadow detail. Not so the low input lag mode and multi-stage overdrive option. The latter allows you to choose just how hard to push the pixels in terms of response. The most aggressive setting does some very odd things to image quality, but the medium option is a nice compromise, more on which in a moment. The AOC G2590FX gaming monitor has an all-plastic build which looks pretty sturdy. The monitor has red accents which although not overbearing, definitely hint towards a gamer aesthetic. While the AOC G2590FX is an excellent monitor for competitive gaming, there are much better alternatives available at this price range. Specifications Screen SizeThe bezels are nice and thin therefore creating the impression that the monitor is bigger than it actually is. Now, the colors are still not as good as they are on IPS or VA panel displays, but they are noticeably richer in comparison to the older TN panels. Conclusion A monitor like the AOC G2590PX G2 is easy to rule out for most PC users. It makes too many compromises in areas like size, resolution and static panel quality. You can get bigger, sharper, better looking monitors for the money. What such alternatives can’t do is nail the gaming experience like this screen. The G2590PX G2 has a really nice combination of gaming features, including 144Hz refresh, frame syncing and fast response, at a reasonable price.

If you have an Adaptive-Sync compatible graphics card by AMD or NVIDIA (GTX 10-series, RTX 20-series, or newer), you can enable variable refresh rate which will allow theAOC G2590FX to change its refresh rate dynamically.

Elsewhere, the OSD menu reveals a wealth of gaming options. Many of them, such as the preset color modes for various modes of gaming including RTS or first-person shooters, are arguably of little value.
