About this deal

I have watched Juventus in many of their league and Champions league matches for the last few years and all of them during the 2013- 2014 season. He really evoked emotion from me, especially in the parts about games I remember vividly (4-0 Barca). This powerful book features stylish and quirky illustrations and extra facts at the back, including a biographical timeline with historical photos and a detailed profile of the footballer’s life.

Quinn’s slim but satisfying profile of the Liverpool manager is saved from hagiography by the author’s wit and the deft way he weaves his own experiences alongside the account of Klopp’s achievements. I couldn't follow these parts of the book, but what I really liked about the book is the author gave enough emphasis on how Klopp started, grew and learnt about the art of football and also about Klopp's superb character which nails him to be a great football manager. He had been long admired in the Premiership and was finally wooed by Liverpool in the belief he could bring back the glory days to the Kop. Taking in all the drama of LFC’s disrupted, but ultimately triumphant, 2019–20 season, it offers unique insight into one of football’s most charismatic figures. If you have any questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data, for information, correction, restriction or deletion of data as well as revocation of given consents or objection to a certain use of data, please contact us directly via the contact data in our imprint. There are a few decent tidbits of insight, such as the influence of Wolfgang Frank on Klopp's career. An immensely enjoyable and readable book in which Liverpool fan Anthony Quinn outlines his love and affection for Jürgen Klopp, the man who has transformed Liverpool from perennial nearly men to European, World Club and finally English champions, in the process ending a thirty year wait for the title. The Little Red Book of Klopp celebrates the best witticisms, sayings, and insults from Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp, accompanied by illustrations of the great man himself. In my opinion, the book is much the better for this as it flip flops between outlining how the author fell in love with Liverpool FC as a young boy (following an initial flirtation with Celtic), detailing Klopp's early life, footballing career and forays into management with Mainz and Borussia Dortmund, before providing comparisons between Klopp and the man who previously galvanised Liverpool FC, Bill Shankly. while this book succeds in capturing the persona of the big german, it fails in many other respects. It is not a biography of Klopp, though reference is frequently made to key moments in the great German manager's life and career. Jürgen is widely considered football’s best manager and is admired for his leadership style, which champions hard work, compassion and, above all, team spirit! My personal view of Klopp is that he is a likeable, competent manager who escapes close scrutiny compared to other characters who have had similar results. This was a lovely warm look through the life of our Jurgen and why the author Anthony Quinn (and all of us who follow Liverpool) love the man.

He is loved by his players for his passion and mana-management skills, and adored by fans for his charm, wit and exciting football on the pitch. Fantastic book with great insight into Klopp's background and how his style has formed, evolved and been influenced since starting as a manager. Es geht nicht nur um den Trainer, es geht um die Strahlkraft des Vereins, die Faszination Fußball und die Liverpooler Identität.In 2015, a romantic German who had once dreamed of becoming a doctor found a pulse in the city of Liverpool and set about leading an intubated club back to the top of the English and European game. will be a fascinating year as to whether Liverpool can regain their oomph as neither Mainz nor Dortmund managed it after losing their mojo. Klopp’s decision to cut short his post-Dortmund sabbatical has now necessitated an extra chapter in this English version of the book, probably earlier than Neveling anticipated, to cover the start of his Liverpool tenure.
