There was even safety netting strung around the top of the building to catch chunks of crumbling concrete before they could fall to the street below and kill someone. The crunching helmet-to-helmet blow induced both hyperthymesia and synesthesia, fancy words that mean Decker cannot forget anything at all, ever. Baldacci is a truly gifted storyteller, and this novel is a perfect "fix" for the thriller aficionado.

I again felt terribly enamoured with Amos (and I’m not necessarily attracted to the wounded bird types! Personally, haven't I read the first book yet (although I'm eyeing right now since it's on my desk waiting to be read). I must say I am surprised that more of David Baldacci’s novels have not been adapted by major Hollywood production studios.

What they do find are secrets that stretch back a lifetime and reveal a current plot of impending destruction that will send the world reeling, placing Decker and his team squarely in the crosshairs.
