Varilight's advanced V-Pro dimming technology now contains trailing edge and an emulated leading edge dimming modes. By switching the knob on and off in a specific sequence (see instructions in the data sheet tab) you can switch between the dimming modes and adjust the dimmer to meet the precise demands of your own lighting applications.
LightScene offers exciting additional functionality to Varilight V-Pro IR dimmers including scene-setting for multi-gang dimmers. Up to 4 scenes can be stored and recalled at the touch of a button. Our stylish V-Pro IR touch control and touch & remote control dimmers are designed for dimmable LED lighting. Each dimmer (or gang on a multi-gang dimmer) can control between 1 and 10 dimmable LEDs (subject to a maximum load per gang of 100W). If you're not ready for LEDs yet make sure you've got the right equipment in place for when you do make the switch! For best results with low voltage lighting use VARILIGHT intelligent dimmer switches with VARILIGHT electronic transformers. There is no limit on the number of transformers you can use as long as you keep within the maximum rating of the dimmer. VARILIGHT electronic transformers are suitable for controlling 12V a.c. rated LEDs (MR16). V-Pro dimmers are not suitable for wire-wound "toroidal" transformers. Both the V-Pro and V-Com LED dimmer series have three different dimming modes which can be set by the user, as well as a programmable minimum and maximum brightness settings, to optimise performance and deliver the full dimming range potential of a particular lighting load. The touch & remote control dimmers can be controlled via the touch button on the dimmer or using our standard YRC8 infra red remote control handset. If you have a spare button on an infra red remote control at home you can teach the dimmer to respond to that instead.
