About this deal
Thank you to Neela for not only rec'ing this book, but for all the funny ass texts about this book that hopefully never get out. For the sake of both our reputations đ€đ Can he see me now? Wearing nothing but a thin tank top, my nipples poking through the material? Or the shorts Iâm wearing that barely cover my ass? Does he like the view? I need the Tin Man to oil the hinges on my door just as much as I need the Lion's bravery. I'm shaking like a leaf. EDIT: I am reducing my rating because it gave people the wrong impression. I do not support Zadeâs character. He is a hypocrite and a rapist. I did enjoy this duet for the writing and the story. This part especially traumatised me but I couldnât stop reading it.
I had to take days off in between readings of the first half since it forced me to think about so many things, and my heart hurt for everything that happened to Addie.Nana used to offset the manorâs dark shade with blooms of colorful flowers during the spring season. Hyacinths, primroses, violas, and rhododendron.
Those notes turn into a song full of screeching and loud noises, filling my body with heart-wrenching panic. Adrenaline spikes, and just barely do I have enough sense to remain as quiet as possible. But one of the hard limits is trying to excuse the behavior, and that's what this book does at every turn. I am so enthralled with Zade and Addie. This continuation and completion to the Cat and Mouse duet was beautiful and heartbreaking in soo many ways. With that in mind, this book was dark to another level in comparison to the first and like stated above On the opposing side, the Hunter, a born predator, is compelled by an unyielding longing to reclaim what rightfully belongs to him. The absence of Adeline, his precious diamond, awakens his primal ferocity, launching him on an unwavering pursuit. He is resolute in his mission to retrieve her, even if it means painting the earth crimson with blood. This book is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, organiza- tions, places, events and incidents either are the product of the authorâs imagination or are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, events, or locales is entirely coincidental.Of course the heroine doesnât believe him so he takes Archie home with her. This is where it gets juicy now. She decides to take him into the sunroom, so Zade could see her get fingered by Archie. Which by the wayâŠwas pretty hot ngl He's just so hypocritical talking about how any guy that forces himself onto women/children deserves to go to hell and be tortured (Which is his hobby. He like...likes to torture people...idk that's lame to me. It's like when guys flex about punching shit when they're mad). Meanwhile, here he is, going into this girl's house, forcing himself onto her, justifying it because of the girl being turned on, and then leaving her there lying on the floor curled into herself and crying. Feeling violated. Like - you lose me completely there. I will not be manipulated by "okay he does this to her but look at all the girls and women he's saving!! Look how disgusted he is by older men who aren't hot like him preying on women!!!" It just makes the whole thing awful for me. I'd rather he was just a billionaire businessman, I'd be fine with most of it then LOL The first book of this series was a dark romance. This book, the second, was just dark. Very little romance to speak of.
I donât know why it excites me. Something must be wrong with me. Itâs not normal for liquid heat to course through my veins, leaving tingles burning in its wake. Itâs not common for my mind to start wondering about things I shouldnât. Adeline is someone I liked instantly. She has life to her, personality but the only thing that kind of bugged me a bit was how questionable her life choices were at times. Seriously, the girl had a death wish. Are we really surprised by the ending?đ„ČAnyway, I have no words regarding the heroine because she was kinda justâŠthere taking the spot that should be mine đ the audacity Nana died about a year ago, gifting me the house in her will, but my grief hindered me from moving into Parsons Manor. Until now.
