Hugo manages to get through to the Portal Master stating that they must place a land vehicle on the portal so that they can get the Skylanders to Skylands. I actually like using the portal better since it instantly saves all your data to the figures every second of the way. Opening the coffin gate and being dragged to the Undead Fiesta, they discover Moneybone's villa overlooking a spooky village where they discover his plan to use an Immortalizer Ray and turn all of Skylands into zombies, and take chase after him in his Clockwork Castle. The story begins with Master Eon introducing the player to the world of Skylands as well as its protectors, the Skylanders.

However, those Skylanders were caught in the eruption of the volcano and were banished to Earth, but not before the magical energies of the eruption granted them the ability to swap halves, thus turning them into a special team of Skylanders known as the SWAP Force. The reason is because the original portals could only read up to 4 individual pieces (SWAP Force Skylanders being considered as two separate pieces), and Magic Items are no longer as useful in those games as they were in previous games.

The wireless portals for Wii and PS3 are the same and will work with either USB dongles regardless of platform. The Superchargers get on the Flying Bandit Train and fight Captain BlubberBeard, who wants Mags to make their train be able to escape the collapsing Skylands.

In Trap Team, villains are captured using the touch screen instead of using real-life traps, which the 3DS portal does not support. Skylanders Imaginators may be a launch title on the Switch, but it's not a new game as such - we've already played this on Wii U, after all. The symbol of the Shattering Sigil is embedded on the side of the Portal of Power, as well as many other runes often seen in the games. According to Jeff Poffenbarger, the senior executive producer of Imaginators, innovation is one of the most important aspects while designing the game.

Using their powerful abilities, the Skylanders have defended their world for generations, keeping peace and balance. More than 50 new playable characters are available, including Trap Master Skylanders, who charge into battle with gigantic crystal weapons, core Skylanders, new versions of fan favourite Skylanders, pint-sized but powerful Skylanders Minis and, of course, a range of in-game villains!

I've always been impressed that year in and year out Activision has been able to carry over as much of their toys functionality from 1 game to the next, much more so than Ntinedo has ever done w/ amiibo or Disney Infinity which limited most of it's toys to their own worlds or the Toybox.While cutting Skylanders into pieces for the good of the Cloudbreak Islands, Gibson managed to slice his hand open.
