The only reason it was remade was to scoop up a boatload of money from a more modern and accepting audience. But it is a completely different song than the other one that sounds slapped together in a few takes without a thought for the meaning. You don’t need to be so strong and confident at all the time, Crystal. Even if you’re a trainer. The curvy community doesn’t need you to defend them. We’re perfectly fine. What we need is you to be the best you can be. The song is more than a little cheesy. The chorus is just the same phrase repeated a bunch of times. The second verse is same as the first. There’s a bit of faux cheeriness in the horn stabs, and there’s a bit of forced nostalgia in the squawking sax solo.
