Season 24 only had Limited and Standard out at the same time due to poor sales. The first serial, Day of the Daleks, saw the return of the Daleks for the first time since Season 4's The Evil of the Daleks in 1967. This was also the first time that the Daleks had been seen in colour in the television series (they had been in colour in the two films starring Peter Cushing produced in the mid-1960s).For the Blu-ray, the primary restorations of the above episodes are b/w film, VidFIREd, combined with the colour from the NTSC VT. As the films are slightly cropped (See Season 8 for an example), the original DVD restorations are also presented as bonuses (except The Time Monster Episode Six).
