About this deal

Der Greif's publications demonstrate how pairings of images by different authors can generate new meanings. Der Greif explores the creation, distribution, and reception of images - in print, on screens, and in exhibitions. The organization reflects on and questions the role of images: how we construct and perceive our environment and our respective responsibilities within it. Get the chance to sell your work at Grisebach, the market-leading auction house for photographic works in Germany. This collaboration encourages us to delve into the rich layers of influence that shape our image-making journey, echoing Douglas Crimp's concept of art as a "stratigraphic activity of layering." Join us in exploring this history and adding to the evolving narrative of contemporary photography.

The Gryphon ending explained: what’s up for Season 2?

Despite the flaws in the narrative, there is room for improvement if a second season is given the green light. Mark’s quest isn’t quite over by the time Season 1 ends so there may be potential for something far more exciting and otherworldly than what we have been given with this first run of episodes. But as our streaming services have a habit of cancelling series before they have found their footing, there is also the chance that the cliffhanger ending at the end of this first season won’t be resolved. For issue 14, Fleury proposes to use YES TO ALL as a paradoxical leitmotif for selecting submissions. Fleury aims to challenge familiar photographic structural tropes of 'families', 'categories' and other groupings with the submitted material, by collapsing these very notions through the inclusivity YES TO ALL calls for. Why submit to issue 14? Get published in an article on dergreif.org, and the chance to publish an Artist Feature & Blog on dergreif.org.

Don't miss the opportunity to benefit from our upcoming collaborations with other art and photography magazines. Loads of possibilities for you are in the making, to have your work seen, and for you to be in dialogue with other great works of photography's "Past & Present". The biggest problem is the fact that the world Mark ventures into is too similar to our own. Aside from a looming great tower that rises above the land below it, the environments that Mark finds himself in are disappointingly ordinary. Fans of 70s Doctor Who will be right at home as most of the action takes place in dusty quarries that are not unlike the alien worlds that Tom Baker’s incarnation of the Time Lord often found himself in. But those hoping for a world that is like none other may be left unsatisfied after watching Mark traipse through locations that are all too familiar. We ask you to consider a financial donation of 12 € to support the anniversary events of Der Greif. All funds collected will directly support producing the displays of selected work from the open call. The Swiss artist was born in 1961 in Geneva, where she lives and works. Fleury has had numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. Referencing the Frame

Originating as a computer command, YES TO ALL is a recurring theme in Fleury's oeuvre used to comment on an increasingly uncontrollable consumer desire. But when Thomas goes missing, Mark realizes his brother may be trapped in this other world. At this point, he throws off all of his other responsibilities and ventures into this fantastical place. Does he find his brother? And more importantly, does he defeat the beast that wants access to our dimension? We aren’t going to go into major plot details here so you will have to watch the series if you want to see how Mark’s journey plays out. The series stars J eremias Meyer, Zoran Pingel, and Lea Drinda as the trio and is written and created by Sebastian Marka and Erol Yesilkaya.
