About this deal

That’s where ExtremeRate comes in. They’re not the only company doing this, but ExtremeRate offers a range of custom shells, light-up buttons, remappable button kits and more.

rainbow cable IDC 26-10 consisting of 10 wires, used to connect directly to the electronic board of the control unit. So, as someone who fawned over the original Xbox Crystal controller, I jumped at the chance to give their products a spin. Here’s my take on three of ExtremeRate’s Playstation 4 offerings.

What other mods should you consider when upgrading your induction kit?

So far, we’ve talked a ton about design and installation. Those are important considerations. But even the best designed remap kit is going to fall flat if the buttons don’t work, or are tough to use. In that regard, we were very pleased with the RISE’s performance. Let’s start with the basics. To map one of the paddles, you first need to turn on your controller. Next, press and hold the programming button on the bottom of the control module. After three seconds, you’ll see the LED blink, and you’ll have entered programming mode. Press the button you want to map, then press the paddle you want to map it to. If the LED stops blinking, you know you’ve been successful. Get the installation video guide on YouTube by searching "eXtremeRate RISE4 Remap Kit for PS5 BDM-030" or "EjHMtMMKz3I". The eXtremeRate HOPE remap kit is an evolutionary upgrade kit that adds advanced gaming functionality to your existing controller for Xbox Series X / S. power supply, capable of providing sufficient current and voltage to communicate with the electronic control units, in a stable and safe way.

On the other hand, if you’re already experienced with soldering, a full installation shouldn’t be too tough. It’s just three wires that need to get soldered into place on top of the ordinary connections. The instructions for soldering are in the same video we linked for the regular installation instructions. To know whether you’ve done everything correctly, you can connect the control module to the bottom. Assuming everything is wired correctly and the controller is powered on, the LED indicator will light up. This indicates that the remap kit has been wired, and is communicating with the controller’s motherboard. However, installing a new controller shell is a breeze; the only problem you’re going to have is choosing which one to go for. The LED kit too is excellent; it takes a lot of patience and skill to install it. But if you take the plunge, your controller will thank you for it. It is common for most OEM manufacturers to use pleated paper panel filters in the induction system while aftermarket performance products tend to feature a cone or cylindrical shaped filter to increase the available surface area. The shape, size and material of the filter has an impact on the amount of air that is able to pass through it. How do aftermarket induction kits differ to OEM intakes?

It was my own ham-handedness that was my downfall, that and my assumption that I could cram both kits in with ease. The LED and remap kits contain some absurdly thin wires; they have to be thin enough to fit inside the controller shell. However, faced with shoving two new circuitboards into the controller, my skills failed me and I ended up damaging the wires, putting paid to both the remap and LED functions. The power and fuel economy of your car can be enhanced or boosted in about an hour by altering the settings on the engine control unit (ECU). A vehicle's engine control unit (ECU) is the computer that controls how the engine works. rainbow cable IDC 26-16 composed of 16 wires, used to connect directly to the electronic board of the control unit.

We can provide performance, economy or blend remaps; and we are one of the few tuning networks who can provide DPF off and EGR off remapping- at no additional cost to a standard file. Simply by reprogramming your engine, you can increase the performance on offer with more turbo-boost, fuelling, and revised ignition maps. All of this can result in drastically altered performance. It's not just about total power, a remapped car often enjoys much more torque throughout the rev range with low-down and mid-range torque improved. You can even find your MPG going up, as more torque means less gear-shifts! An aftermarket induction system removes the restriction of air flowing to the engine. Due to this aftermarket intakes can be considerably louder than the standard one fitted to the vehicle. For the majority of people this is part of the allure of an induction kit, however some people may find this a nuisance. Also, some open induction systems, without the correct ducting to ensure a strong cold air feed, can actually end up losing power due to drawing in the hotter, less dense air from the engine bay. What are the most important things to look out for when buying an induction kit? ECU remapping is a popular and highly effective way of getting enhanced performance from your engine. The ECU map the car came from the factory with will often not be everything the engine can do but will instead have a bit of headroom built in to allow for variable fuel quality or lax servicing. This means there is extra power on offer simply by flashing new software onto the Engine Control Unit. This makes this one of the easiest and most cost-effective upgrades you can do on many cars. A process no more difficult than updating your phone can unleash up to 25% extra horsepower and torque!Get the installation video guide on YouTube by searching "eXtremeRate Hope Remap Kit for Xbox Series X / S Controller". With this remap kit, you can easily turn your existing controller for Xbox Series X / S into a professional e-Sport gamepad with additional 4 remappable remap buttons. Compromise. Regulations imposed on car manufacturers limit the performance of OEM intakes. A lot of the restrictions in the standard airboxes are due to the need to remove noise from the induction system, which often disrupts airflow. What the designers didn’t have in mind were tuned cars needing to flow more air. What other mods should you consider when upgrading your induction kit? Usually they are larger and capable of flowing more air. Production cars are almost always built with compromises, so they are able to deal with harsh environments and bad fuel. Where these are not factors, and people have the desire to remap and gain more power, the cold air intake will give the car the air it needs to cope with the extra fuel a remap will require. Why, or when, would you need to upgrade your induction kit?

Car makers are also known to limit the performance of their cars through the ECU so they can release faster models at a later date, with just a few software changes and a higher price. Remapping makes the most of your car There are several options when deciding what induction modification to make to a vehicle. There are three main categories: First up, a panel filter upgrade, which uses the vehicle’s existing airbox and replaces the standard pleated paper filter with high-flow filter made from cotton gauze, synthetic material or foam. With this kit, you can easily turn your existing controller for PS5 into a professional e-sport gamepad with an additional 4 Remappable remap buttons. The two main components of an induction kit are the airbox and air filter. The airbox provides a housing for the air filter and channels cool air from outside the engine bay directly to the filter. It also has the added function of isolating the air from the effects of heat generated by the engine.A closed cold air intake is a performance airbox designed around the optimum sized filter for the performance gain required. Housing a filter in an airbox provides a constant flow of cool air to the filter, whilst shielding the filter from the high engine temperatures. What are the limitations of OEM intakes? Do aftermarket induction kits suffer the same fate? Because it’s designed as a wrap, the RISE hugs tight to your housing, and doesn’t obstruct your ports or your existing buttons. It’s so unobtrusive that it even works with some other aftermarket modifications, such as aftermarket PS5 thumb grips. You won’t be able to use some modifications, like oversized triggers, which could get in the way. But for the most part, you’re free to continue altering your controller as you see fit. Will do most Mercedes to 2015 90% (No Coverage EDC 17 / MED17) (For these newer ecu other tools required)
