They differ from the SteelSeries buttons – that unit was also made from membrane technology, but its buttons had a mechanical-style bump and a bouncier typing action. The G213 also used membrane hardware, and it offer heavy, satisfying typing that’s not far removed from mechanical devices. The Cynosa Lite does have RGB LEDs in its keys, but they’re underwhelming: the lighting is not bright or consistent, and the sole lighting zone means you don’t get many customisation options. When it comes to affordable gaming keyboards, Razer has you covered with the Cynosa Lite. With its trusted Synapse 3 software and gorgeous Chroma lighting, not to mention a sturdy plastic frame, it’s a great option for the money. The Cynosa Lite doesn’t feature any additional macro keys, which is disappointing for those looking to play MMO or MOBA games with myriads of button combinations. It isn’t something to hold against the Cynosa Lite, since this isn’t functionality that one would expect at such a low price. Nevertheless, their addition might have just put Razer head and shoulders above the competition.
Dedicated Media Keys
The Razer Cynosa Lite, Razer Cynosa Chroma, Razer Cynosa Chroma Pro and Razer Cynosa V2 all support Razer Synapse 3. Dedicated Media Keys Gamers will traditionally lean towards mechanical keyboards with good reason, but they're also pretty loud, and can be expensive. The Cynosa Lite, just as with the Cynosa Chroma, is a particularly good choice if you're looking for a good, quiet, general-purpose keyboard that you can also turn to for a bit of gaming. In fact, one of the big changes to the visuals is the way the Chroma lighting is delivered. On the Cynosa Chroma, the light floods the entire keyboard area. On the Cynosa Lite, it's limited to just a single zone, and only the markings on the keycaps are lit. Which you prefer, well, that's down to personal taste. I certainly don't mind it this way though, especially on those late evenings working.Much like every other Razer product I’ve had my hands on, the software and lighting department is certainly where the Cynosa Lite gets one over on its rivals.
