The tamper end is used to compact loose earth particularly at the base of post holes that are to be filled with concrete or cement. Designed for the removal of deeply set nails. The pointed tips can be forced into the workpiece to dig out sunken nails. Can also be used for light prying. Ideal for breaking up compacted earth particularly when digging deep post holes. The sharpened chisel end makes light work of breaking through roots. Similar to the pinch point, the heeled chisel is used for lifting and manoeuvring very heavy objects. The heeled chisel allows for greater leverage.With its wider fulcrum the T-head is ideal for prying and levering tasks. The T-head is offset from the shank to provide different angles of leverage.
